Astronomical Regatta Barcelona - Ibiza

Second astronomical journey competing in a flotilla sailing more than 500 miles with only sextant, almanac and nautical charts ...

We will participate in the Stella Oceani regatta, which is committed to traditional sailing, without using electronics. In the sailboat there will only be the sextant, the nautical chart, the almanac and the chronometer. We will compete using the calculation of the geographical position taking the height of the stars.

This year the official route is modified: the port of departure and arrival will be Barcelona, and the route will run through the Balearic Islands, surrounding all the islands and stopping in Ibiza

Plan

Program of the Barcelona - Ibiza - Barcelona route:

- Departure Sunday from Barcelona to Menorca.

- One day landing in Es Náutic, Ibiza.

- We set sail Thursday from Ibiza to Columbretes.

- Awards ceremony in Barcelona on Saturday afternoon.
