A sailing highlight, our journey from Dublin to Galway, is characterized by the enormous diversity of the sea areas along our route.

Whether we circumnavigate Ireland clockwise or counterclockwise will depend on the current weather conditions. Along our route are the two capital cities, Belfast and Dublin, as well as historic sites such as Cork. The world's first yacht club was founded here in 1720.

  • Plan
This sailing trip along the Emerald Isle will treat us to sublime coastal scenery and impressive islands. We'll make the most of the wind and nautical conditions to explore and experience the sea area with its cliffs and indescribably beautiful harbors and anchorages.

It's a sailing challenge that is richly rewarding. We have plenty of time to explore the island with its inhabitants, bird colonies, historical sites, and the vegetation typical of Ireland. At this time of year, the island is stunning with its lush greenery, which defies the harsh climate. 

There are too many interesting and fascinating places along our route to mention or describe them all. On the west coast, we sail under the direct influence of the North Atlantic, and the distance to be covered may require longer sailing legs. The feeling of accomplishment will come when we have safely moored the yacht in the harbor in Galway after a 14-day sailing experience.

We're sailing a new Bavaria C51 from 2017. It's a special boat, designed without restrictions for offshore use and approved by the German Employers' Liability Insurance Association. It handles even high waves with ease and impresses with its excellent seakeeping. Comfort and dynamics have been uncompromisingly combined, ensuring a comfortable on-board experience and an intense sailing experience.

Welcome on board, welcome on board, Grüezi mitenand and welcome on board!

Other information
The skipper for this activity speaks german. To participate you must speak one of the languages spoken on board.

Final cleaning:

Typically, the final cleaning of the yacht is carried out by the crew at the end of the cruise. So that you can pack in peace and leave the boat without the hassle of cleaning, I will take care of the final cleaning for you (not valid for cruises in the Azores).

For you, this means a relaxed arrival and a pleasant farewell.

One yacht, one skipper:

I'm your skipper! You can contact me as you prepare for your trip and get to know me. If you're unsure or have any questions, please call me. I'll be happy to assist you and answer your questions. I know the yacht inside and out and offer professional and safe sailing tailored to your individual needs.

Shopping lists/recipes:

Upon request, I can put together recipes and a shopping list tailored to the number of participants and your culinary preferences. A holiday feeling from the very first minute.

Background/additional information:

If you'd like to take a shore excursion or haven't had time to find out what to expect at our destination port, you'll receive this information on board, and if you have any unanswered questions, I'll be happy to help you research them.

At the start of the trip, each participant pays approximately €100 into the onboard fund. This is used to cover meals, including drinks, fuel, marina fees, gas, and diesel fuel used. (The skipper is exempt from this fee.)

When the deposited money runs low, the crew will top up the money in equal shares. At the end of the trip, the surplus in the onboard cash box is distributed among the participants.

The required amount varies depending on the cost of food in the region visited and your dining needs. Typically, the cost of the onboard cash box is between €80 and €150 per person per week.
