On January 13th we will meet in Martinique, get in the mood, get to know each other and GALINI, make the final preparations and set course south. The boat offers enough space so that we, with 8 people, have enough space and opportunities to retreat. Galini is the Greek word for serenity. This is also important to us for the spirit on board! :-)
The plan is to go to the Grenadines via St. Lucia and St Vincent. We don't have any stress and can also plan excursions on land. Of course we are in many beautiful bays for swimming, snorkeling and to enjoy a few nice cold drinks. The Windward Islands are very promising as a sailing area. A constant trade wind, no overcrowded bays, but snow-white palm islands, fresh fish, coral reefs with colorful underwater world, whales, dolphins, turtles. On land, cheerful, colorful houses, everything a little playful, Caribbean serenity, exotic drinks and food.
In other words, have a nice sail, explore the islands. Snorkeling, fishing, swimming, letting the sun shine on your stomach on the beach. Enjoy a barbecue on the beach and the sunset with a cocktail. And in a great group, what more could you want!?
You are part of the crew and can actively participate, safety and sailing instructions are a given and at the end of the trip there is a confirmation of nautical miles.
Until January 25th we are back on Martinique and everyone can plan their further trip or fly home from the nearby airport.
