Even after months in this extraordinary sailing area, there is still a lot for me to discover. Even if the land is rather barren, the ocean with its underwater world is even more lively. There are only a few places where you can still observe underwater spectacles like this. Sharks, rays, groupers, baracudas and conch mussels, to name just a few, will accompany us.
A string of pearls of hundreds of small, often uninhabited islands leads in a south-north direction and once we have left the open Atlantic behind us, flat, crystal-clear water, constant winds, white sandy beaches, protected bays, hardly any waves and a relaxed North Caribbean atmosphere await us. This trip is a snorkeling and swimming trip. Only two longer stages, well under 24 hours, are necessary. One to take us beyond the islands and one at the end of our trip to Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas.
