Holiday and discovery cruise/mileage cruise in Croatia

Sailing trips starting from Marina Zadar to attractive destinations in the south or north of the Dalmatian sailing area.
In the early season, the destinations are determined by the expected wind and weather conditions for the week in order to achieve the best possible sailing experience.
Our daily destinations are island groups off the mainland with idyllic villages, quaint konobas, beautiful bays, and old town ports, mostly located on the mainland.
After the day's sailing, boats moor at harbor, marina, or konoba jetties using moorings, or in bays at buoys or at anchor. Transfer to shore is then by dinghy.

The total distance is usually around 150+ nautical miles and is suitable as a mile-building trip for sailors, but also, due to the attractive destinations, as a relaxed holiday and discovery trip for sailing beginners and couples.
The skipper has the SSS qualification, so the trip is suitable for holders of the SBF/SEE recreational boating license for further training.

Anchoring, mooring, setting sail, trimming, and steering are all done with the involvement of the crew. Everyone actively participates in sailing according to their individual abilities.
The basics and boat handling will be discussed and practiced before departure and during the trip.
Participation is intended for an age group of approximately 35 years and older.

The official language on board is German, ensuring clear communication for everyone during all ship maneuvers, as well as docking and undocking. Crew members who speak other languages and can communicate in English are also welcome.

Plan

Saturday: Arrival day from 4:00 PM. The crew gets to know each other and settles in on the boat. Grocery shopping at nearby shops or the well-stocked supermarket. Afterwards, instruction in the basics of yacht operation. In the evening, dinner together at a nearby restaurant; cooking on board is optional.

Sunday: Crew briefing after breakfast, followed by the start of the sailing trip. The first destination will be determined by the course setting. The length of the first day's sailing will be determined based on the start time and prevailing wind conditions.

Monday to Thursday: Destinations change daily according to the skipper's itinerary. Crew members should submit their desired route sections or destinations in advance, and these can be taken into account where feasible.
For our communal dinner and social gathering, we'll visit the konobas that are already open, or cook ourselves. Amateur cooks are welcome. The skipper will help out as time allows.
The crew is responsible for washing and cleaning the bunks, toilets, saloon and kitchen.
The trip starts in the morning after the yacht has been made ready.
Outside the port, that is, during the voyages, alcohol consumption is prohibited until the ship docks.

Friday: Return trip by early afternoon to the local gas station and the home port of Marina Zadar. After showering and packing suitcases, a

Other information

The skipper for this activity speaks german. To participate you must speak one of the languages spoken on board.

For shared expenses such as food and beverage purchases, port fees, and fuel, a contribution of approximately €150 per week should be budgeted for each crew member, or approximately €200 for occupancy with 2 guests.
At the start of the voyage, the crew members establish a ship's kitty. The kitty is managed internally.
The settlement between participants is usually done via mobile phone and an app suitable for splitting the individual payments.

The aforementioned expenses should be supplemented by restaurant and bar visits, and possibly costs for excursions, taxis, bicycle rental fees, etc., depending on the extent.
The skipper is provided with meals and drinks free of charge on board and in the restaurants for the entire trip; the costs are shared by the crew.

Additional fixed costs:
Before departure, in addition to the booking costs, a basic marina fee of €100 per crew member per week must be paid in cash on site. These expenses will be forwarded by the skipper to the charter company or may have already been paid in advance.

Accommodation:
The two aft cabins, each with two berths, are available for rent. The price is per berth. Each berth is occupied by two people. Renting a cabin for sole use is possible upon request and for an additional fee.

Arrival:
For self-drive arrival, fly to Zadar Airport if possible; otherwise, fly to Split and then take a taxi to Marina Zadar. There is direct access to your berth at the marina. Arrival from Split Airport (Trogir) is also possible by public transport.
For those arriving by car, there are plenty of parking spaces available on the port grounds.
