Embark on a 6-day coastal journey aboard the legendary Tall Ship, discovering the lesser-known treasures of the Madeira archipelago. Departing from Funchal, this round-trip adventure takes you to the tranquil island of Porto Santo and sails alongside the dramatic, wildlife-rich Desertas Islands.
Our voyage sets off from Funchal, charting a course north to the golden shores of Porto Santo. Along the way, you’re invited to take part in daily sailing tasks, learn the basics of traditional seamanship, or simply unwind on deck as we glide across the Atlantic. Once on Porto Santo, you’ll have time to stroll along its sweeping beach, swim in pristine waters, or explore the island’s charming village and scenic viewpoints.
From there, we head south to pass near the Desertas Islands — a striking chain of rocky islets protected as part of a nature reserve. These remote islands, with their towering cliffs and isolated coves, are home to rare seabirds and the elusive Mediterranean monk seal. Though going ashore is not allowed, sailing past this untouched marine sanctuary is a unique experience.
As we make our return to Funchal, there’s time to enjoy the quiet rhythm of life at sea — sharing stories over meals, taking in the open horizon, and soaking up the peaceful atmosphere aboard this classic tall ship.
