There is nothing around us but deep blue water.

We are exposed to the forces of nature.

The wind in the sail that drives the boat forward quickly and constantly. The clear view to the horizon. The swell that lifts the boat up and down. The sound of the sea. Unique sunsets that you can only experience at sea.

Dinner together from the galley before the boat becomes quiet and the night watches begin.
During the night watch, the starry sky above us with the countless stars of the Michstrasse. The changing of the guard finally, and then off to the bunk. Or experience the sunrise at the Last Watch. First, almost imperceptibly, the dawn on the horizon and then the moment when the sun rises and you immediately feel the power and warmth. When the smell of coffee wafts through the boat and the crew gathers for breakfast together and life comes back into the boat, it's something special.
And when, after a few days at sea, land finally comes into sight again and you can enjoy a mooring beer and a long hot shower with the crew in the harbor... then these are the moments you don't forget.

Do you want to go on this adventure?
Then please note the following: ->

Since this is a deep sea trip, you should definitely be seaworthy and have your own oilskins. Night watch is essential on this trip. You should also have some sailing experience. The trip is definitely NOT for beginners who have no experience and have never been on the open sea, but for those who may still need miles for their SKS or Swiss offshore license etc.

The specified trip duration is basically "variable" due to the distances, as larger distances can go faster or slower depending on the wind and weather. Ie. If the wind is unfavorable, we may have to turn up or take longer strokes and not be able to sail directly on the target course. Which of course increases the distance and the duration of the trip. Conversely, things can also go better than planned so that we may arrive 1-2 days earlier than planned. We therefore recommend that you only book your return flight when it is really clear when we will reach our destination port.

  • Plan
We start in the south of Tenerife and, if the wind permits, sail directly towards Gibraltar.
However, we usually have north-east winds on this route, so this rarely happens.
This means that if the wind is north, we sail as far north, with an overnight stop on Madeira, until Gibraltar is virtually abeam and we can turn east. Then we head into the Strait of Gibraltar. A definitely worth seeing and remarkable spot with all the freighters and tankers rushing through. But the current there is also tough!
A main and 2 secondary streams can make the passage tricky depending on the wind and weather. It is also important to pay attention to the orcas and fishing nets that can be found along the Moroccan coast even 25-30 miles out to sea.
The Bay of Gibraltar with all the ships moored there, the Monkey Rock and La Linea is definitely worth seeing.
