New Year's Eve sailing from Barcelona to Cabrera, Mallorca

Do you want something different for New Year's Eve? I suggest you take a sailing trip to the island of Cabrera, in the south of Mallorca, to arrive in port on New Year's Eve and say goodbye to the new year in a different environment, where there will be no shortage of good dinner in the company of interesting people, music, and of course, the champagne and the grapes to welcome the new year, all in a healthy environment and eager to experience something different.

On January 1st we can go visit the island with the Dingui, and then return to the sailboat to spend one more night in that paradise

Surely it is a plan for many of you who will be tired of repeating the same thing every year, including myself.

What are you waiting for to join the crew?

Wednesday afternoon we will meet on the sailboat to introduce ourselves and settle into the cabins. The sailboat will have already been loaded by me beforehand with food, drinks and fuel, to make the trip more comfortable for all participants. Around 18:00 we will head to Mallorca (always respecting the weather forecasts).

Arrival on Thursday around 17:00 in Mallorca. There will always be a difference if wind and wave benefit us or harm us. Arrival to Cabrera. Dinner on board with music, talk and good company. I'm sure there will be no shortage of anecdotes and laughs during New Year's Eve, where we'll say goodbye to the year with grapes and champagne.

On January 1st we can take a walk to visit Cabrera and welcome the new year seeing the breathtaking views. In the afternoon, relax and sleep in the bay to rest and completely disconnect from daily life. On the 2nd in the morning we will head to Barcelona for a night of sailing and arriving in Barcelona the next day between 13:00 in the afternoon of January 3rd.

Other information

The skipper for this activity speaks catalan, english and spanish. To participate you must speak one of the languages spoken on board.

We will make a 165 euro boat for the costs of food and drinks on board, mooring and fuel.

Boat details

The sailboat is fully equipped to navigate the Mediterranean, with AIS, radar, radio beacon, life raft for 10 people, autopilot, solar panel. Approved to navigate in zone 2 60 miles from the coast. Sailboat completely restored with new ropes and sails. Kitchen and refrigerator, and consists of four double cabins and two bathrooms.

Domingo is friendly, but the journey was lacking. We miss the functions of an ordinary cook. The trip was offered with this included and his tasks, which were taken over by the boss, were limited to defrosting 4 meals (he did not prepare breakfast or dinner). The experience in Menorca was nice and the captain was close, although the cleanliness was a point to improve: bathrooms, kitchen and living room were barely serviced, and one day flies even appeared for not picking up food. It would also be good to organize meals better and to be updated in the choice of coves.
