Sail on a sailboat from Cadiz to Malaga

Sail on a sailboat from Cadiz (Chipiona) to Malaga (Fuengirola), on a journey lasting approximately ten days.

We will start in the charming town of Chipiona, travelling along the endless waters of the Cadiz coast from Rota, passing through the ancient city of Cadiz until we reach Trafalgar and cross the Strait of Gibraltar, a passageway from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea.

Now in Mediterranean waters, we will sail to the Rock of Gibraltar and then continue on to the wonderful city of Malaga, passing by its beaches and the port of Fuengirola.

Plan

Departure from the port of Chipiona, sailing to the bay of Cadiz to enter Puerto América and visit the city of Cadiz.

Day 3 - Sailing from Cadiz to Barbate, stop at the port and visit the beaches of Barbate and its charming fishing village.

Day 5 - Crossing the Strait of Gibraltar to the bay of Algeciras and mooring in the port of La Línea.

Day 6 - Visit to La Línea and Gibraltar if we wish.

Day 7 - Sailing around the Rock of Gibraltar to the port of Fuengirola.

Day 8 - Walk and visit to Fuengirola.

During the crossing, the itinerary is open to stops at alternative ports, anchorages, stops and others agreed between the passengers and the Captain.

Other information

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (spanish)

Diesel consumption, if necessary, depends on weather conditions and whether or not it is possible to sail. We can expect an average consumption of 3 litres/hour, approximately €30 per day, if we want to cover a long distance every day if we cannot sail (priority will always be given to sailing).

As for food, we recommend bringing your own groceries, which should be simple and easy to prepare, nutritious and provide the energy you will need during the trip (the skipper has his own food covered). We have refrigeration and full kitchen equipment with oven, burners, etc.

Beautiful fast and safe sailboat, perfectly conditioned for ocean crossings, it has 2 complete cabins, 1 independent bathroom with toilet, shower and sink, living room for 10 people, complete kitchen with 2 refrigerators and fully equipped, clear and wide deck to take the sun and enjoy the sea as well as a comfortable and safe bathtub to enjoy sailing or eat with views of a beautiful cove... it also has a bathing platform with access to the sea and a bathing ladder to enjoy a good bath.

The boat includes pneumatic and outboard as well as all the regulatory safety equipment, this being reviewed annually as well as the boat itself, carrying out routine and exhaustive controls of it and its equipment.

The boat is always skippered by the owner and an assistant sailor.
