Join us for an unforgettable week along the east coast of Sardinia, where one of the most spectacular and challenging treks in Italy and Europe awaits: the "Selvaggio Blu." Each day, we'll tackle breathtaking trails, with an average elevation gain of about 600-700 meters and a hiking time of about six hours, immersed in extraordinary natural landscapes. Our base will be a cozy 15-meter sailboat, equipped with five spacious double cabins, for a comfortable and relaxing stay between adventures.
Program of 7:
- Day 1. Arrival day, meet at the Marina di S. Maria Navarrese port at 6:00 PM, where we'll have a briefing to learn more about the trek stages, boat maneuvers, and equipment checks. We'll each settle into our own cabin, which will be our home for the entire tour.
- Day 2. On the morning of the first day, the boat will take us to the starting point of the trek in Pedralonga. Although we'll already be in the heart of the Selvaggio Blu area, it will be a day of warming up and exploring the Sardinian coast. After a climb of about 700 meters, Punta Giradili, and reaching a karst plateau with a rocky expanse of furrowed fields, we'll reach Monte Ginnirco, our first day's destination, after about 4-5 hours, from where we'll return to the boat. If time permits, we can organize a climbing trip on the famous Pedralonga walls or at the Marina di Santa Maria Navarrese cliff (various difficulties, from 4c to the more classic 5b/5c and higher).
Day 3. We resume our trek with a high-altitude route, tackling short cliffs that we descend using sturdy juniper roots, which we use as ladders and bridges. After tackling a 50-meter rock face requiring partially equipped climbing (grade 3c), we head towards the picturesque rocky fjord of Portu Pedrosu. Here, we board the tender to reach the sailboat that will be anchored, ready to offer us a refreshing swim or an onboard shower.
Day 4. The spectacular Cala Goloritzé and Cala Mariolu will be our destination for the third day. We'll disembark at Portu Cuao on the sharp rocks of the cliff and resume our trek, passing classic sheepfolds with an elevation gain of about 600 meters, getting up close to the Aguglia di Goloritzé or Punta Carioli, one of Sardinia's most famous climbing spots. We'll continue along the Boladina trail, past a short cliff, and reach Cala Mariolu. The azure water will leave you speechless, and thanks to the sailboat as our base camp, we can quickly move on and spend the night beneath the famous limestone obelisk.
- Day 5. A fantastic day of sailing to Cala Mudalaru, which will allow us to pass a long rocky bastion overlooking the sea. We'll sleep in this breathtaking bay nestled between the vertical cliff faces.
- Day 6: Depending on sea conditions, we'll disembark in one of the coastal bays in the morning. After climbing a ridge of about 300 meters, with easy climbing sections (grade 3c) on a system of ledges and abseils, we'll finally reach the stunning Cala Sisine, where we'll share the conclusion of the Selvaggio Blu. We'll board the boat and, perhaps with the wind, head for the Marina di Santa Maria Navarrese.
- Day 7: After our last night on the boat, we'll arrange to disembark at 10:00, head to the airport, and fly home, taking with us unforgettable memories of this extraordinary adventure!
The trek is also available in the "Selvaggio Blu Plaisir" version, a gentle program ideal for those who want to explore the trails without tackling the technical sections of abseiling and climbing. This version of the trek will be confirmed with a minimum group of 4 participants.
