Hello, Good Day,
You should budget approximately €200-250 per person per week in cash for the onboard fund. All costs incurred during the cruise are paid from the onboard fund, such as base charge, final cleaning, fuel, provisions on board, etc.
The amount of the on-board cash box also depends partly on the guests' requirements, the number of days in port and whether meals are eaten on the boat or whether the crew decides to eat out more often and pay individually in the restaurant/konoba.
Restaurant visits, "special" drinks on board, and "extra food" (that particularly good bottle of wine, chocolate, etc. that you want for yourself) are generally not paid for from the onboard cash box, but rather separately or paid for individually. According to nautical tradition, the skipper's meals are also paid for from the onboard cash box. This is generally the case on board and during restaurant visits, when not just a few individuals but the entire crew decides: Today, the pantry will stay cold and we're going out to eat!
Greetings Chris
