An itinerary that combines swimming in crystal-clear waters and splendid beaches with the exploration of authentic historical and cultural jewels: the medieval center of Rhodes, the characteristic architecture of Symi, and the Roman amphitheater overlooking the sea in Knidos.
In the center of Rhodes, we'll relive the atmosphere of the Crusader Knights, strolling along the city's imposing medieval fortifications and visiting Mandraki, a historic port still surrounded by windmills, once protected by the famous Colossus. Don't miss the museums, the Palace of the Grand Master, and the Street of the Knights. The vibrant nightlife, with its numerous bars and entertainment options, will also allow us to appreciate the island's contemporary life.
In Symi, our first stop, we'll dive into the picturesque Panormitis Bay, dominated by the imposing monastery, and be fascinated by the vibrant ochre and pastel colors of the capital, with its elegant neoclassical houses.
In Knidos Limani, the city of Aphrodite, we'll visit the ruins of the ancient city and its harbors, with its spectacular Greek amphitheater overlooking the sea. If possible, we'll also stop at Nisyros, a volcanic island, where we can rent a car and explore the caldera.
Finally, in Kos, we'll drop anchor in Ormos Kamari Bay, home to the remains of a seaside cathedral, and visit the town center with its monument dedicated to one of its most illustrious citizens: Hippocrates, the great physician of antiquity and the father of modern medicine.
