Origin and Tradition: The regatta dates back to 1989, when a group of enthusiastic sailors decided to cross the Mediterranean from Denia (Alicante) to Sant Antoni de Portmany in Ibiza. Since then, the Salt Route has been a symbol of camaraderie, challenge and adventure.

Challenging Route: The regatta course covers approximately 140 nautical miles of open water. Participants sail from the east coast of Spain to the beautiful island of Ibiza. The voyage involves strategy, night sailing and the thrill of facing wind and waves.

The XXXVIII edition of the Salt Route will take place from April 02 to 04, 2026. Here's the detailed program:

Wednesday:

From 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. - Participant registration in the sports office and safety/measurement controls.

21:00 — Buffet dinner welcome at the Balandros Restaurant for all crews.

Thursday:

14:00 Departure from Denia (Alicante): The sailboats will sail from Denia to Sant Antoni de Portmany in Ibiza.

Islands of Formentera, Tagomago and Ibiza on the port side: Sailors will enjoy breathtaking views as they sail to their final destination.

Friday:

Offshore Sailing: Participants will face navigational and strategic challenges as they make their way to Ibiza.

Friendly competition: The regatta is an opportunity to compete, but also to enjoy the camaraderie between sailors.

Saturday:

8:00 h- 22:00 h — Reception for sailors in the regatta village.

10:00 a.m. — End of time limit.

12:00 h — Press conference with the winners of the regatta at the Sant Antoni de Portmany Yacht Club.

13:00 and 14:00 Brindis with the winners in the Village.

8:00 p.m. — Trophy ceremony in the tent of the Paseo Maritimo de Sant Antônio de Portmany.

NEXT — Closing buffet dinner for all crews at the Sant Antoni de Portmany Yacht Club and party.

Sunday:

Back to Denia on a direct way, we will leave early in the morning for Denia to arrive between 14:00 and 16:00.

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (spanish)

Spectacular experience. The boat was impeccable, very comfortable and perfectly organized.
