SATURDAY: MALLORCA TO MENORCA
We will embark at the appointed time and place to begin our journey towards the island of Menorca at 5:30 p.m. The sailboat will already be perfectly stowed and ready to sail, so after settling in we will review the itinerary and the planned program as well as the basic tasks and rules for living together and safety on board. Afterwards we will enjoy together what will be our first voyage that will include a spectacular night sailing under the stars, and with a bit of luck a pleasant visit from our friends the dolphins. In about 4 hours we will leave the island of Mallorca on the port side to arrive in the early hours of the morning at the magnificent bay of Son Saura, one of the most beautiful virgin beaches on the south coast of Menorca, where we will drop anchor.
SUNDAY: SOUTH COAST
After our first breakfast on the island, we will enjoy the day sailing peacefully and anchoring in some of the most famous and beautiful coves in Menorca, and certainly in the entire Mediterranean: Cala Turqueta, Cala Macarella (and Macarelleta) and Cala Galdana, where we will spend the night under the stars. Very close to each other, we will have time to swim in crystal-clear waters, walk along white sands, sunbathe, or simply relax letting ourselves be carried away by the colours and light of the sunset on our sailboat.
MONDAY: SOUTH AND EAST COAST
Today we will get up early to make the most of a spectacular day, which will begin by sailing and contemplating the beauty of the southern coast of the island and its countless coves, many of them wild and with incredible turquoise waters, such as Cala Mitjana (and Mitjaneta), Cala Trebalúger, Cala Escorxada, Cala En Porter, Cala Coves among others, choosing one of them where we will anchor to swim and eat. Afterwards we will weigh anchor and set sail for our next destination, the impressive port of Mahón, one of the largest natural ports in the Mediterranean, more than six kilometres long, which we will reach before sunset. There we can take a walk, have dinner in a restaurant, if you like, and enjoy the nightlife of the city and this magnificent port, a refuge for ships and the scene of battles since the 3rd century BC.
TUESDAY: EAST COAST
After a good breakfast, we will continue north to discover the beautiful coves that open up on the east coast of the island up to the emblematic Cape Favarixt. We will sail around Illa d´en Colom and drop anchor to cool off in the transparent waters of some of its coves such as Arenal den Moro or Cala Rambles, then continue up to Platja d´en Tortuga and Cala Presili where we will drop anchor again to eat and enjoy these practically wild surroundings again. And towards the afternoon we will sail, a little more than half an hour to the south, to find one of our favourite places where we will spend the afternoon and spend the night under the stars. This is Cala Vellana, where we can go down with the auxiliary boat to visit the town of Es Grau. A small and beautiful fishing village, where time seems to have stopped, located next to S´Albufera des Grau, in a protected natural environment of high ecological value and one of the reasons why Menorca was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. It is worth taking a relaxing stroll there at sunset, a real pleasure for the senses.
WEDNESDAY: EAST AND NORTH COAST
Today we will continue sailing and anchoring in some of the most beautiful and unspoilt coves to the north of Cape Favarixt up to Punta Pantinat, protecting Illa d´en Tosqueta: Cala Caldes, S´Arena den Mongrofre, Cala en Brut… We will also discover the surroundings of Addaia. An impressive natural port which is accessed through a landscape framed by the Illes d'Addaia and the beautiful view of Na Macaret, followed by a beautiful residential area perfectly integrated and a defence tower, built in the English era. It is well worth the time to enjoy a gentle sail on our sailboat to enjoy this unique Menorcan environment. A haven of peace, calm and harmonious, where we will anchor around midday to eat. We will then weigh anchor and set sail towards the extraordinary bay of Fornels, through the magnificent surroundings of Es Macar de Sa Llosa, the Arenal de Son Saura and Cala Pudent, where we will arrive at dusk after a short but beautiful sail. There we will drop anchor or tie up to a buoy to spend the night, but not before enjoying a nice walk through the town, its lively atmosphere and perhaps, why not, trying its famous lobster stew.
THURSDAY: NORTH AND WEST COAST
We will have an early breakfast to make the most of today's day by getting to know the rugged northern coast of Menorca. We will sail early in the morning, leaving the emblematic Cavalleria Lighthouse on the port side to head towards Binimel-La Beach, where we will anchor. Here we will change the white sand to reddish sand and we will see rocky seabeds full of small fish of all kinds, since we will find ourselves in the heart of the Marine Reserve of the north of Menorca, with its most unspoiled and wild environment. Afterwards we will anchor in the neighbouring Cala Pregonda and its seabed, one of the best coves in Menorca where we can snorkel to discover its rich fauna and marine life. And around midday we will head towards Cala de Algaiarens, a paradise where we will find fine white sand and crystal-clear waters again, where we will have lunch. And finally, we will have a short but spectacular sail to reach the charming port of Ciudadela before sunset, one of the most romantic and magical places in Menorca, where we will spend our last night on the island.
FRIDAY: FROM MENORCA TO MALLORCA
We will cast off very early to enjoy a spectacular sailing trip back to the island of Mallorca. We will head to Portocolom where we will moor at around 4pm, ending the programme. Those who wish can enjoy a lovely afternoon stroll and its nightlife, spending the night on the sailboat until the next day (complimentary night, to be confirmed subject to availability).
SATURDAY: DISEMBARKATION AND FAREWELL
At 08:00h we will say goodbye to what will surely have been a fantastic week.
