Transatlantic crossing San Miguel (Tenerife) → Caribbean (Martinique) ~3,000 nautical miles
What could be better than crossing the Atlantic on a sailing yacht at the best time of the year? We sail from the south of Tenerife, in the heart of the Canary Islands, across the Atlantic. Here we enjoy the vastness of the sea and shape our daily life on board together.

We sail on a watch system and are self-catering. Whether we stop in Cape Verde depends on the wind and weather. Our final destination is the Caribbean island of Martinique. From there, anyone who wishes can sail with us on to Grenada or the British Virgin Islands.

The catamarans are extensively equipped, offering plenty of space both on and below deck, with each cabin having its own bathroom with a shower. A watermaker, solar panels, a generator, and downwind sails make time on board very comfortable.

Experience the Mediterranean with us in autumn and come out to the North Atlantic.

• Requirements: A certain level of experience is recommended to ensure you feel comfortable on a sailboat. No other qualifications are necessary.

These trips are ideal for:
• Adventurous sailors who want to take on the challenge of long sea passages and new cruising grounds.
• Beginners with basic knowledge who want to deepen their skills and gain offshore experience.
• Experienced sailors preparing for an Atlantic crossing or wishing to expand their mileage logs.
• Nature lovers who want to enjoy the magic of the open sea, spectacular sunrises and sunsets, and the diversity of marine life.
• Travelers who appreciate the comfort and camaraderie on board a superbly equipped catamaran.

Whether you are discovering sailing for the first time or are already an experienced skipper – these trips offer an unforgettable experience for everyone!

Transatlantic crossing San Miguel (Tenerife) → Caribbean (Martinique) ~3,000 nautical miles
    Tenerife -> Caribbean (Martinique) 08.11.2026-02.12.2026

Join us on a catamaran for an Atlantic crossing, and also in the weeks leading up to it, from Mallorca / Ibiza to Tenerife.

    Trip highlights
    • The unique feeling of bluewater sailing, surrounded for weeks by nothing but sea and horizon.
    • Breathtaking night skies, free from light pollution, with countless shooting stars.
    • Encounters with dolphins, flying fish and possibly whales.
    • Daily alternation between watch time, setting sail, navigating and relaxed life on board.
    • Harmonious coexistence on board and the joint mastery of all challenges.
    • Hands-on learning of deep-sea techniques and modern navigation.
    • Fascinating sunrises and sunsets, as well as luminous plankton at night.
    • Impressive encounters with the cultures and stories of the islands visited.
    • The triumphant feeling of making landfall in the Caribbean after weeks at sea – an unforgettable moment.

In autumn 2026, we will sail from Mallorca through the Strait of Gibraltar to Tenerife and then on to the Canary Islands. On this voyage, we will operate on a watch system and cover numerous nautical miles. A stop in Gibraltar is planned. This leg of the journey will end in the south of Tenerife, and after a short stop and crew change, we will embark on another voyage to the Caribbean. Since we will be sailing with several catamarans, there will be two staggered departure times.

Other information
The skipper for this activity speaks english and german. To participate you must speak one of the languages spoken on board.

Everyone is responsible for their own arrival and departure, and meals are paid for from a shared onboard kitty.

Small items like bed linen and towels are on board, solar panels, watermakers, refrigerators and generators are part of the equipment and the crew does not have to pay for the fuel.

Since ocean voyages are always subject to the goodwill of nature, we recommend booking flexible return tickets or booking seafarer fares, for which we will gladly issue a certificate.

My sailing and sports boat school is in the middle of Berlin. Here you will learn to sail, drive a motorboat and radio, as well as prepare for a trip on the high seas.
I have been passionately running the sailing school with my team since 2006.

A great sailing and water sports school. I obtained my SBF-See, SBF-Binnen/Segel and UBI/SRC here. Friendly, patient trainers who use their experience and skills to get you to the required exam level. Despite the training, there is still plenty of fun and they take the time to respond to special requests/concerns. I would love to come back here to broaden my maritime horizons.

The theory compact course (in my case SBF Inland) is really very good and prepares you ideally for the exam and beyond.
I also really liked the friendly trainers during the practical training sessions. This meant I was able to pass both exams straight away.

Very good preparation for the exam and future sailing experiences. You can see that all the trainers are very passionate about what they do.
There are always reports of experiences and additional theoretical background on all exam-relevant topics, so that you feel very well prepared the first time you are alone on the boat.

I just did my SBF inland sailing/motor here.
Great people, pleasant atmosphere. The teachers are easy-going, but still competent and can show you what is important when sailing.
If you don't feel completely confident with certain maneuvers, just ask. There is no rigid curriculum that has to be followed. You can decide for yourself where you need more practice.
As you gain experience, you will spend some time on board with just other students. This helps you to feel responsible for the boat and the maneuvers and to coordinate with the other students. But don't worry, a boat with a teacher is always nearby if something goes wrong or you have any questions.

  • Internet, Starlink? Is it available? How much does it cost in GB used?
does the catamaran have a watermaker?
    snorkeling equipment, SUP, etc. trolling?
    • We have Starlink internet on board. Usage costs €2.27/GB. The catamarans are equipped with watermakers. Snorkels, SUPs, etc. are not on board – as they aren't practical when sailing on the Atlantic. Trolling lines are available on board. The onboard languages are explicitly German and English, not Spanish.
