Available in English
In the heart of the vast Atlantic, the Azores Islands stand like a maritime jewel, attracting sailors from all over the world year after year. Located about 1,500 kilometers west of the Portuguese coast, these nine volcanic islands emerge majestically from the ocean, offering landscapes of exceptional diversity. Mountains, waterfalls, volcanic lakes, hot springs, diversity of marine fauna, cliffs and green landscapes. Azores is a natural paradise to discover.

On this trip, we will explore the Island of Sao Miguel, and we will cross to the easternmost island of the archipelago, the island of Santa Maria.

The Azores are much more than a destination; They are a unique experience for lovers of the sea and adventure.

Set sail with us to these magical islands and discover their splendor!

  • Plan
Day 1. Boarding day on the island of Sao Miguel. The entire crew will meet and study the weather for the next few days to decide the route to follow according to the winds, the state of the sea and the preferences of the entire group.

Days 2 to 8. Days to sail touring the islands of Sao Miguel and Santa Maria and days to organize visits on land and explore their interior.
These days will include the crossing from Sao Miguel to Santa Maria, of 40 nautical miles.

Day 9. Day of navigation from the point where we are, and return to the port.

Day 10. Disembarkation day in Sao Miguel.

    The islands:

*Sao Miguel Island: known as the “Green Island”, São Miguel offers wild nature and volcanic terrain that make it a natural jewel. Lagoa do Fogo (Lake of Fire) is one of the most captivating sights. This lake is located in a volcanic caldera and is surrounded by steep slopes covered with wild flora. Another attraction is the Lagoas das Sete Cidades, its hot springs such as Termas da Ferraria and its black sand beaches such as Santa Bárbara Beach. The main town of Ponta Delgada is famous for its historic architecture.

*The Island of Santa María, also known as the “Yellow Island” or “Sun Island”, is part of the Azores archipelago. Geographically, it belongs to the Eastern Group along with the island of San Miguel. Although it is the third smallest island in terms of size, its warmer and drier climate makes it special. It is the island that concentrates the largest number of streams and the largest waterfall in the country. It is known as the yellow island, the island of the sun, for its extensive sandy beaches of fine sand and for the pleasant and stable climate throughout the year.

Boat details

More than a sailboat, this boat is a home for us and our guests. It is cozy and with comfortable spaces.
The sailboat is 13.30 meters long. It has 4 cabins. Two of them with a double bed, one with a double bed and an additional bed, and one with 2 bunk beds.
It has a spacious living room inside, a well-equipped kitchen, and 2 bathrooms with a hot shower.

Its outdoor spaces are perfect to enjoy long days at sea. Relax in the bow hanging from a hammock, or sit in the bathtub looking for a bit of shade at lunchtime.
It is a perfect boat to sail in different conditions, learn and have fun.

It has been a unique experience, we have learned about navigation and visited incredible places that you can only access by boat. An alternative and active vacation to get to know other places and cultures, avoiding tourist sites. The boat was spotless and very comfortable to live in. Aroa and Carlos are very nice, I will repeat
