Boreal Arctic Fjords Cruise through Norway

Enjoy the unique experience of sailing through the Norwegian fjords north of the Arctic Circle between the Lofoten Islands and live a sailing experience with demanding conditions on a highly comfortable sailboat prepared for all conditions.

Experience a unique journey of 200 nautical miles in 7 days of sailing, combining navigation through narrow channels, demanding and changing meteorology and possible nights under the Northern Lights.

We will do advanced sail trimming, handling the sailboat in changing conditions, mooring and mooring maneuvers in ports and fjords surrounded by spectacular scenery.

And if conditions allow it and with a little luck we can see northern lights, whales and orcas.

Plan

Saturday 10:00: Base meeting, briefing of the trip and shopping.

Saturday 13:00: Check-in and stowage.

Saturday 16:00: We set sail!

Saturday to Friday: 200-nautical mile voyage through fjords and channels of the Norwegian Arctic.

Next Saturday 09:00: Disembarkation.

(The Friday before boarding, we recommend sleeping close to the base in Harstad.)

Depending on the weather and the planning of the route we will take on the first day, we can enjoy spectacular places such as the town of Heningsvaer, Laupstad, Svolvaer or the Trol Fjord itself.

Other information

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (english and spanish)

Qualified instructors with more than 15 years of experience sailing around Rías Baixas, Mediterranean, UK, Europe, Caribbean doing introductory and improvement courses in sailing and regattas will guide you, providing you with all the tools to learn in an agile and fun way.

Experience in coastal sailing and ocean voyages, prioritizing on-board safety and crew comfort.

Professional experience with a high degree of empathy, adaptability, listening and above all interpersonal skills to make navigation a continuous learning and enjoyment.

Minimum of 4 crew members signed up to carry out the workshop.

Boat details

The Hanse 458 sailboat has a traditional mainsail, a radar, a bimini and a bow propeller. It also has a flat screen TV, heating, an audio system, outdoor speakers and indoor speakers.

The fully equipped kitchen includes a fridge, an oven, a stove, a sink and some kitchen utensils.

A very well organized and carried out workshop. I learned a lot during this week and discovered a very beautiful and interesting navigation area. Paco and Eduardo are not only excellent skippers and instructors, they are also great people to spend a week on a boat with.
