We will start from Crotone, the ancient Greek Croton where around 530 BC, the philosopher and mathematician Pythagoras founded his school, transforming the city into a beacon of philosophical, scientific and mathematical knowledge.
After leaving the splendid seafront, we'll sail to Isola di Capo Rizzuto, renowned for its crystal-clear sea, the red beaches of Le Cannella, the vast Marine Protected Area, and the Aragonese Castle of Le Castella. From there, we'll reach Roccella Ionica, the heart of the Costa dei Gelsomini, whose crystal-clear waters have been awarded the "Blue Flag" 20 times. The seafront is beautiful, and the Castello dei Principi Carafa, overlooking the gulf, is a fascinating sight, offering a delightful view.
A lovely sail will take us to Taormina. A jewel of Sicily, it's also famous for its splendid Greco-Roman theater, which offers a magnificent view. Visiting it at sunset is a fantastic experience. The Alcantara Gorges and Isola Bella are also beautiful.
The final stop on our journey will be Catania, an ancient Sicilian port city not far from Mount Etna, the spectacular, mythical, still-active volcano that, rising to 3,357 meters, dominates this side of the island. Don't miss a tour of the city, its large central square, Piazza del Duomo, the picturesque Elephant Fountain statue, and the richly decorated cathedral. The picturesque Pescheria, the fish market held on weekdays, is located in the southwest corner of the square.
