CONTENTS
- Trimming the mast and standing rigging
We will learn the adjustments of the standing rigging, both when mooring and when sailing, adapting the boat to the weather conditions and navigation objectives.
- Trimming the genoa.
We will learn the main concepts of genoa trimming. Its parts and shape. Also the adjustment or trimming actions. Action of the sheets, sheet cars, halyards, etc.
- Trimming the mainsail.
We will learn and practice the main trim points of the mainsail such as the sheet, sheet car, halyard, vang, foot and backstay.
- Techniques to adapt to different wind and sea conditions
We will also practice techniques and maneuvers to coordinate the action of the sails, the rudder and the boat as a whole. Depending on the weather conditions we encounter during the course, we will practice: Sailing with light wind, gusty wind, strong wind, sailing with waves, etc.
Always taking into account aspects such as: the interaction between the sails, the management of the weights on board, the passage of waves, and taking advantage of the gusts.
