Maintenance, Mast Trimming and Maneuvers Course in Alicante

This event is designed to review the things to do in the maintenance of a sailboat (batteries, engine, ropes, rigging, ...) and the different navigation practices such as docking, anchoring, climbing the mast, man overboard, knots, ... and trimming the mast. The course will be conducted with an experienced instructor. It is indicated for all those who have recreational nautical qualifications and want to increase their safety. They are not the mandatory regulatory practices, we will carry out many maneuvers that you may need when you drive a boat.

Those who do not have a qualification but do have knowledge of navigation can also participate.

Take advantage of this opportunity to perfect maneuvers and see maintenance and trimming that you are not used to doing in order to gain confidence and be able to be your own skipper in the future.

Plan

FIRST DAY (optional):

At 8:00 pm, those who stay overnight will meet at the cafeteria of Marina Deportiva de Alicante or Real Club de Regatas de Alicante. The cabins will be distributed. You can go to the supermarket to buy food.

At night, you can have dinner on the boat or in a restaurant on the promenade next to our Marina.

SECOND DAY:

At 10:00 we meet at the cafeteria of the Marina Deportiva de Alicante or Real Club de Regatas de Alicante and we will begin with the maintenance, mast trimming and the practices of the different maneuvers.

At 18:00 we will end the day's activities.

THIRD DAY:

We will start at 10:00 to carry out new maneuvers and review some of the previous day with the sailboat.

At 2:30 p.m. we will conclude this Maintenance and Maneuvers Course.

Other information

This course is taught in spanish. You must have a sufficient level of this language to be able to follow the course.

☆Parking: Marina Deportiva de Alicante has paid parking and at the Real Club de Regatas de Alicante you can also park in the nearby streets with a little patience and a paid parking lot nearby for €6 per day.
☆This course will be carried out as long as there is a minimum of 4 people.

It has been a very positive and interesting experience. Carlos is a very experienced skipper and also very pedagogical. Very attentive to everyone.
