La normativa vigente establece que puede ampliar las atribuciones del título de Patrón de Embarcaciones de Recreo para poder llevar embarcaciones de hasta 24 metros de eslora y poder navegar desde la península hasta las islas Baleares. Podrá también habilitar su título para la navegación a vela. Deberás realizar las prácticas de navegación estipuladas para ello, que, en este caso, deben ser de una duración mínima de 48 horas.

El barco escuela que utilizamos para estas prácticas dispone de camas individuales para todos los alumnos en todos sus camarotes. Algo poco habitual en los barcos escuelas, donde los alumnos deben compartir camarotes con camas dobles.

  • 1 block. Boarding and Start of the Journey
    1 block. Boarding and Start of the Journey
    We will meet at the Marina Deportiva of Alicante Port, usually at 12:00 or 16:00, depending on the scheduled date.

    Once on board, we will hold a short briefing to understand how the journey will unfold, organize coexistence, and review the vessel. We will also analyze the weather forecast with the skipper to decide the most suitable route before setting sail.

    After settling in and completing the initial explanations and preparations, we will begin sailing.

  • 2 block. Navigation and Onboard Practices
    2 block. Navigation and Onboard Practices
    We will spend the day continuously navigating, performing the exercises and maneuvers established in the official program and actively participating in life and organization onboard.

    The route will depend on the meteorological conditions. If the sea state and wind allow, we can set course for the Balearic Islands; if conditions advise another option, we will choose the most suitable and safest itinerary with the skipper.

    3 block. Navigation and return to Alicante
    We will continue navigating and performing the last practice maneuvers before heading back to the Marina Deportiva of the Port of Alicante.

    Disembarkation will take place approximately 48 hours after departure. For example, if we embark and start the practice at 12:00 on the first day, we will return around 12:00 on the third day; if we start at 16:00, the return will be approximately at the same time.

    The exact boarding time may vary depending on the date. Once your spot is reserved, you will receive all information about schedules, the exact meeting point, recommendations for the trip, and the instructor's contact details.

This course is taught in spanish. You must have a sufficient level of this language to be able to follow the course.

El barco dispondrá de bebidas (agua, zumo y café) y algo de comida para el desayuno y la merienda (galletas, bollería o pan y algún aperitivo) a disposición de los alumnos. Para el resto de comidas cada alumno deberá llevar su comida, se recomienda bocadillos o comida ya preparada (ensalada, empanada, tortilla pre-cocinada, gazpacho, etc…).

Boat details

This ship is a Vagabond 47 model ketch built in 1979 in Taiwan.

It is a sailboat used mainly for school activities and trips. It has a wide continuous deck to practice maneuvers without having to stay in the cockpit, together with magnificent sea conditions.

It is a boat from 1979, very seaworthy and very habitable. The cabins and bathrooms have the basic amenities. It is an old ship with good maintenance, but no frills. Ideal for relaxed and practical trips.
