Certificate of Survival Crafts and Rescue Boats (not fast).
1. Possession of the Survival Craft and Rescue Boat Certificate (not fast) will be required for the following personnel:
a) To the Captains and Bridge and Engineering Officers of passenger ships.
b) To the Captains and Bridge and Engineering Officers of merchant ships with a gross tonnage greater than 75 GT.
c) To the Captains and Bridge and Engine Officers of fishing vessels greater than 20 meters in length.
d) To Sailors, Bridgemen and Enginemen, of merchant ships who have assigned functions in the management of survival craft and rescue boats on the ships mentioned in the previous subsections.
2. The Survival Craft and Non-Fast Rescue Boat Certificate will be obtained after successfully completing the course whose content is set out in Annex I and must comply with the competency standards of Section A-VI/2 of the Training Code, paragraphs 1 to 4.
3. The duration of the course will not be less than 24 hours, of which, at a minimum, it will consist of 12 hours of theoretical content and 12 hours of practical content.
