Basic Maritime Safety Training Course Port of Malaga

The Basic Training in Maritime Safety (BASIC SAFETY TRAINING) course will allow you to obtain the necessary knowledge to organize and control safety and emergencies on board.

If you have the qualification for sailing as Recreational Skipper (with the extension to 24m), Yacht Skipper or Yacht Captain and you want to dedicate yourself to sailing professionally, you will need to obtain this certificate.

Requirements:
- Attend 90% of the theoretical hours and all the practices
- Know how to swim and/or stay afloat
- Be of legal age (or be 17 years old and have parental authorization)

This course lasts 70 hours (45 hours of theory and 25 hours of practical training)

The course program complies with official regulations (Order FOM/2296/2022 of September 4, 2002) in compliance with STCW Convention 78/10, Rules V72 and V73 and Section AV72 and AV73 competition rules

Theory:

First week - Thursday and Friday 09:00 to 18:00 hours/Saturday and Sunday 09:00 to 17:00 hours

2nd week - Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00

SCHEDULE DATE MAY 19, 2025 - *PORT OF MALAGA*

Theory:

Week 1 - Monday to Friday 14:00 to 22:00 hours/Saturday and Sunday 09:00 to 17:00

2nd week - Monday and Tuesday 09:00 to 18:00

Other information

This course is taught in spanish. You must have a sufficient level of this language to be able to follow the course.
