He takes the approved Basic Training course in Maritime Safety in Altea (Alicante) and starts working in boating.
By completing this 70-hour course (45 theoretical and 25 practical) you will obtain the official STCW certificate that will give you the opportunity to obtain a maritime license and work on board ships.
This course is aimed at all people who perform professional maritime functions on civil ships (merchant ships such as tested yachts), as well as those who are entrusted with safety or pollution prevention tasks related to vessel operations.
As a result of the course, the student will have sufficient capacity to know emergency situations on board and react to them by immediately applying procedures and actions that minimize possible hazards in the areas of fire fighting, rescue, survival and accident prevention.
