Machinery Sailor Course Port of Malaga

Course to obtain the certificate of competence as an Engineman, approved by the General Directorate of the Merchant Navy.

Addressed to all sailors who are going to form part of the watch in engine rooms, or who are designated to perform duties in an engine room without permanent crew, on board a merchant vessel, as defined in article 2 point 10 of Royal Decree 973/2009, of June 12, whose main propulsion machine has a power equal to or greater than 750 kW.

Plan

Theory: 45 hours.
Practices: 25 hours.

The program is developed following the guidelines established in the STCW-78/95 Training Convention and corresponding sections of the Training Code of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), as well as the Guidelines regarding the course content.

Other information

This course is taught in spanish. You must have a sufficient level of this language to be able to follow the course.

The course is face-to-face. Only 10% of the theoretical hours may be missed. The practical part must be completed in its entirety.
