The weekend is designed to get hands-on with parts and equipment on a test bench, simulating the most common maintenance tasks with all the necessary tools.
Focus on the inboard diesel engine with bench tests for cooling circuit, lubrication, and fuel supply
Focus on 2-stroke and 4-stroke petrol outboard engines with bench and tank tests
Focus on on-board systems with practical tests: electricity and hydraulics
Demonstration dismantling of a marine toilet
Diagnosis and solution for failure of the governing bodies
Focus, diagnosis and solution for mast and deck equipment failures
Disassembly and reassembly of Harken and Antal winches
Practical tests and tests with EPIRB, SART, VHF DSC and self-inflating jacket
Practical tests for intervention on malfunctions
Crew briefing, vessel check-in and check-out
Regulations: rental and leasing documents and contracts
Tutors: There will be 1-2 experienced and well-trained tutors.
