1ST SINGAPORE: VALLETTA.
Welcome and embark at the beautiful port of Valletta, where our adventure begins. After discovering our sailboat, we will settle into the cabins and we will have the first of the different workshops and practices that we will be doing on board, as the voyage progresses: Government, security and navigation (Meteorology, defeat planning, POB, VHF, guards, instrumentation...). Then we will familiarize ourselves with the maneuver.
And we will close the day with a dinner all together in the lively enclave of Valletta or its historic surroundings. After enjoying the Maltese atmosphere, we will spend the night on board, ready to set sail.
2nd SINGLADURA: VALLETTA → COMINO → GOZO → TOWARDS SICILY/35 MIN.
We cannot leave Malta without having enjoyed its most beautiful coves found on the island of Comino, a paradise for sailing between cliffs, electric blue and small hidden coves. We will leave early to make the most of the day, anchoring in its main coves of fine sand, which invite calm and disconnection: Blue Lagoon, impossible not to fall in love. Crystal Lagoon, perfect for swimming in crystal clear waters. Santa Maria Bay, quiet and bright. And St. Nicholas Bay, a large and well-protected anchorage.
And in the afternoon, on the way to Mgarr ix-Xini, in Gozo, one of the most beautiful and narrow inlets in the archipelago. Its rocky walls plummet on clean and calm water. Next, Ramla Bay, Gozo's most emblematic reddish sandy beach, awaits us, where we enjoyed a last swim in its crystal clear waters, before leaving for Sicily.
And after having enjoyed the historic city of Valletta and the most beautiful and emblematic coves in Malta, we will head towards the south coast of Sicily at dusk to begin the first great voyage pointing to Agriento, on one of the classic crossings between Malta and Sicily. +150 miles of offshore sailing await us, with gentle winds, normally from the SW, ideal for enjoying good sailing, practicing sailing, sailing, trimming sails, instrumentation... We will sleep on board in the open sea, rocked by the wind and under the stars.
3rd SINGLADURA: AGRIENTO → SCIACCA → TOWARDS THE AEGEAN ISLANDS/95 MN.
Early in the morning we will see the coast of Agriento, with its Valley of the Temples and its impressive Greek ruins. And closer to the coast, the cliffs of Scala dei Turchi, a mythical white rock formation shaped like a ladder. We will continue our course to the west. In the early afternoon we will leave Sciacca, a traditional Sicilian port, with historic charm, on the starboard side. If we have enough time, we will make a short stop to visit this town, known for its architecture, its narrow streets and the fishing port full of colorful boats.
And at dusk, with one of the best sunsets in Sicily, we will head to the Aegadian Islands on a quiet night sail, bordering the W coast of Sicily.
4th SINGLADURE: SCIACCA → FAVIGNANA → LEVANZO → MARETTIMO/35 MN.
At dawn we will arrive in Favignana, the throbbing heart of the Egadi, anchoring for breakfast in Cala Azzurra, to relax in its crystal clear waters and walk on white sand. Then we will spend a few minutes to get to Cala Rossa, the most famous beach in Favignana, known for its transparent waters, its rocky bottom and the spectacular contrast between the blue of the sea and the ancient tuff quarries. A place that will conquer us with its wild and authentic heart.
Around noon, we will sail to neighboring Levanzo, anchoring in Cala Minnola, the wildest island
of the Egadi Islands, known for its crystal clear sea, natural beauty and an important underwater archaeological site. We can snorkel, and maybe we can see a Roman wreck with intact amphorae, a few meters from the shore.
And already at sunset we will experience it in Marettimo, the westernmost of the Aegadian Islands. We will anchor or catch a buoy in Cala Conca, a beautiful cove in a wild environment and crystal clear waters that invite diving. Here we will spend the night shrouded in absolute silence, under an impressive blanket of stars.
5th SINGLADURE: MARETTIMO.
After a well-deserved breakfast, we will have a short cruise to Cala Mannione, rocky and wild in the NW of the island. Once there, we will enjoy its waters and take a walk on its beach, and then head to the beautiful marina of Marettimo, where we will moor. We will have a day off for everyone to live it however they want. We can experience the atmosphere of the port, explore the town and enjoy its tranquility. We can also visit the promontory and the Castle of Punta Troia, or admire the Egadas from the highest peak of the archipelago. And if you feel like it, we'll have something good to eat at any of their typical restaurants.
And to conclude our spectacular visit to the Aegades, we will spend the night tied up, already well prepared for our second long voyage on the open sea.
6th SINGLADURA: MARETTIMO → CROSSING TO CAGLIARI/105 MN.
At dawn we will set sail for Sardinia. A journey of altitude, about 165 miles, ideal for continuing to learn and enjoy sailing in its purest state. The Mediterranean will open up to us with intensity and depth, as we follow a firm course towards Cagliari, enjoying every mile, the wind and our wake in the sea.
7th SINGAPORE: APPROACH AND ARRIVAL TO CAGLIARI/55 MN.
The last few miles and we'll enter Cagliari Bay around noon. The city will welcome us, with its Bastione di Saint Remy dominating the port and a Mediterranean light dyeing the historic buildings with ochres. We will celebrate you with pride in having done authentic sailing between Malta and Sardinia, two of the most authentic islands in the Mediterranean. If you have an extra day, make the most of it on your own to discover this beautiful and lively city.
