Adventure offered by Joaquin

We will sail across the Atlantic from Lanzarote to Martinique Island (Caribbean) on our Lagoon 42 catamaran, which offers all the comforts for a trip of this nature.

Upon arrival in the Caribbean, we will spend a few days on the island of Martinique and stop at some of its wonderful white sand beaches; Playa Salinas is one of the most beautiful. We will conclude our Atlantic crossing in Le Marin Bay.

Martinique is famous for its sugar cane plantations and its rum production, so we will take advantage of the opportunity to honour the Pirates of the Caribbean and taste its fine wines. The Rhum Clement is especially famous, one of the best we can taste. It will also be a good opportunity to lose ourselves on its beaches and climb to the top of Mount Pelee, which we will reach through countless sugar cane plantations and amazing landscapes.

From Martinique we can take a flight back to Europe. It is an island of the French Antilles, so it is part of Europe and no visa or passport is needed to enter or leave the island. For this reason, it is very well connected and has countless direct flights to France and other points in Europe.

This will be our 8th Atlantic crossing. We will enjoy magnificent fishing and whale watching. On this adventure, we will also sail with trade winds, to enjoy an epic journey.

For those who have not had enough of this crossing and are more eager for adventure and sailing, there is the opportunity to sign up for our next voyage, which we will make with this same boat to the San Blas Archipelago in Panama, 1250 nautical miles of navigation through the Caribbean Sea. You can book the crossing with three boarding options:
    - Lanzarote.
    - Marina Alcaides (Algeciras Bay).
    - Funchal (Madeira, Portugal).

Before arriving in Lanzarote we offer two more adventures, sailing around different islands of Macaronesia and Portugal. You can ask for more information about the prices of these other adventures and we will offer a special discount to those who book more than one of the consecutive adventures from the departure of the catamaran from the waters of Cadiz (Spain) to its final destination in the San Blas archipelago (Panama).

If you join the Atlantic crossing from Lanzarote, we recommend arriving a few days early to enjoy the island of the famous painter and sculptor Cesar Manrrique. You can visit some of his houses converted into art museums. You can visit its beautiful and iconic beaches such as Papagayos beach, Flamingos beach, Golden beach or visit the Castle of San Marcial de Rubicon Femes.
The island is also famous for its volcanic white wines. It is worth seeing these vines growing in the volcanic soil that gives so much flavour and character to its wines. The vines grow between stone banks to protect them from the winds. You can also visit some of its wineries.

The daily programme during the voyage will include 4-hour watches, which consist of being at the helm of the boat and observing strange elements or changes in the weather, strength or direction of the wind. Prior training will be provided to know how to act in the event of any change, in addition to the need to notify the captain in order to make decisions regarding changes or inclement weather. Generally, these watches will be carried out during the day, as the captain will work during the night hours when greater concentration is required. There will also be collaboration in the kitchen and in shifts: each person will have to cook and take care of cleaning the kitchen alternately.

During our rest hours we will go fishing. Fishing equipment is included, but bait is not. Everyone can bring their own; the most suitable and most successful catches are usually plastic squids, of different sizes or colours. However, we have bait on board, which you can buy for your use.

Reading, as well as recording videos for your social networks or as a souvenir, are other good activities on board. We have a Samsung Smart TV, so you can watch movies or series. We recommend bringing a hard drive to connect to the TV for this purpose. Smartphones can also be connected (Androids work better, with iPhones it is sometimes difficult to communicate with the TV). We have a Bluetooth Hi-Fi system, where you can connect your mobile phones to enjoy good music during the crossing. Physical exercise or yoga are also good activities on board.

Other information
All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (spanish)

The ship has the necessary communication equipment for the transatlantic crossing, satellite telephone, NAVTEX, AIS, etc.

We also have a Starlink Satellite antenna: all crew members who want to use this antenna, which allows them to be connected at all times via WhatsApp, email and social networks (even Netflix) will have to pay for the GB used during the trip at the end of it, previously leaving a deposit for the collection of this service.

The dates shown are indicative, as we depend on the weather for navigation.

The boat will start the journey from Marina Rubicon, in Arrecife, Lanzarote, so you will need to book a flight to Arrecife Airport.

The price is for a shared cabin, with one bathroom per cabin. You can request a single cabin with its own bathroom for double the price per person, applying a discount (check which one).

The ship will be supplied before setting sail and the cost of food and fuel will be shared equally.

The published price is up to Martinique.

Boat details

Welcome to the announcement of a fabulous Lagoon 42 catamaran. The boat is a luxurious yet contemporary catamaran that features cabinetry finishes and great comfort in all its cabins. The galley is well located between the cabins and the cockpit of the boat and has a bathing ladder for easy access to the water.

The catamaran is equipped for ocean navigation as it crosses the Atlantic from Ibiza to the San Blas Archipelago, these islands are located in the "Guna Yala" region, an indigenous region in Panama, inhabited by the Guna ethnic group, where we will be during the winter seasons.
It is a sustainable ECO catamaran, equipped with solar panels to minimize diesel consumption.

On board you will find ample comfort, especially provided by catamarans due to their spaciousness and good design.
The boat has two refrigerators, a cooler on the deck to keep all your drinks nice and cold. You will also find an outdoor barbecue where you can cook some nice fish or meat.
Our goal is for you to enjoy an unforgettable and eco-sustainable holiday, for which we recommend the maximum use of sails possible.
We will visit the most wonderful places, the most crystalline coves and enjoy magnificent sunrises and sunsets on board.
