Gosier - Les Des Sainte: 15 nautical miles (mn), approx. 2/3 hours
After spending the morning at Ilet du Gosier, taking advantage of the Caribbean winds, we'll head towards the small Les Des Sainte Islands, a charming little archipelago, perfect for exploring on land, where we can also spend the evening if we wish. Back on board, we'll spend the night at anchor under the moonlight.
Les Des Sainte - Pigeon Islands: 20 minutes. approx. 3/4 hours
Wearing water shoes, sunglasses, and a backpack over our swimsuits and T-shirts, we'll visit Les Saintes and its quaint village, stopping at the palm-lined Pompierre beach. We'll then move on to the small Ilet à Cabrit for lunch and a dip in the sea. In the late afternoon, we'll set sail and, driven by the wind, head towards Bouillante Bay: here, we'll be able to swim in the warm waters thanks to a river of boiling water that flows into the sea. If we still have time, we'll then move on to nearby Malendure Bay, opposite Pigeon Island.
Pigeon Islands: Jacques Cousteau Marine Reserve
We'll arrive at Pigeon Island (also known as Cousteau Reserve) on the evening of the second day, or we'll move there on the morning of the third. From Malendure Bay, the Reserve, part of the Guadeloupe National Park since 2009, can only be reached by dinghy or rented canoe, as anchoring and transit in the adjacent area are prohibited. Inside the reserve, you can snorkel in a true natural aquarium, thanks to the unique concentration of marine life, including fish and turtles. Afterwards, we'll have lunch at a buoy inside Pigeon Park.
Island - Antigua 45 min. approx. 7/8 hours
At sunrise, we'll leave Guadeloupe and set sail for Antigua, which we should reach in the early afternoon. We'll anchor in English Harbour to complete customs formalities; here, you can also visit the eponymous museum dedicated to Admiral Nelson, where he hid his ships from his French adversaries. The town is known for having served as a base for the British Royal Navy in the 18th century. We'll spend the evening and our first night in Antigua here.
English Harbor - Green Island 8 minutes / 2 hours
After breakfast, we'll disembark and, after refilling the galley if necessary, we'll be ready to cruise around the island. Our first stop is Green Island, a small island with several white-sand beaches and virtually untouched nature, visited by few tourists, offering a unique setting. To reach it, we'll need to use the engine, having to sail against the wind, but the scenery that awaits makes it worth it. We'll stop in the sheltered bay, home to windsurfing and kitesurfing, and after lunch, we'll travel a little further north to Mercers Creek Bay, where we'll spend a quiet night at anchor, awaiting the surprise that awaits us the next morning.
Green Island - Mercers Creek Long Island 10 minutes, approx. 2 hours
A unique excursion you can take includes swimming with giant rays. This excursion, organized by a third-party provider, is truly beautiful. Fast local boats will take you to a spot where the sea is about 1 meter deep, making it suitable for everyone. Here, dozens of giant rays gather, and you can feed them by hand, petting and hugging them, experiencing a unique experience you'll be able to talk about when you return from your trip. After returning from this excursion, we'll set sail to drop anchor nearby on Long Island, opposite a 5-star resort on a pristine white beach, where we'll spend the night.
Long Island - St John 10 minutes approx. 2 hours
It's time for St. John's, the capital city and main commercial port of the state of Antigua and Barbuda. However, since there's no marina/tourist port, we'll only have to dock for a few hours at the designated temporary transit pier. We'll then take the opportunity to go ashore and explore the city, picking up some locally crafted souvenirs and refilling the galley before reboarding and sailing to Deep Bay, just outside the capital, where we can enjoy sunbathing and swimming while waiting for nightfall.
Antigua - Barbuda 25 minutes approx. 3/4 hours
We'll set sail early in the morning to reach the island of Barbuda, cruising for several hours. During this time, we'll be able to participate in life on board or simply relax and soak up the sun. Once we arrive, we'll anchor off the long Cocoa Point beach for lunch. Afterward, you can dive into the beautiful waters and, as sunset approaches, you can disembark for a stroll along the endless beach.
Barbuda - Saint Barth 60mn approx. 8 hours
We'll leave the white beaches of Barbuda early in the morning and head northwest. If the wind and weather permit, we'll consider a stop at the iconic Pink Beach for a swim. Afterwards, with a lovely broad reach, we'll head toward the refined and glamorous St. Barth, where we'll spend the night.
Saint Barth
The day is dedicated to exploring the island, renting a car or scooter to explore its many scenic and natural wonders. Once back on board, in the late afternoon, we'll sail a few miles to drop anchor on the uninhabited Ile Fourchue, where we'll spend the night.
San Barth - Ilet de Pinel, 15 minutes 2 hours
In the morning, after a refreshing dip, we'll sail for approximately two hours along the east coast of St. Marteen, arriving at the stunning Ilet de Pinel. We'll anchor off the coast and stop for lunch. In the afternoon, there's time for swimming and a shore excursion, for those who wish, to explore the stunning beach populated by giant iguanas. Back on board, we'll spend the night there.
Ilet de Pinel - Tintamarre Grand Case 5 minutes 1 hour
Another day of total relaxation begins: after leaving Ilet de Pinel we will move to the opposite island, Tintamarre: here we will drop anchor and enjoy a day on the wonderful beach, we will have lunch on board before moving on for the evening and night in the bay of Gran Case, where those who wish can go ashore for a cocktail or to dine in one of the various seafront restaurants.
Grand Case - Prickly Pear 15 min approx. 2/2:30'' hours
A new day brings new beaches and a new sail awaits us. We reach the two islets that make up the Prickly Pear Islands, separated by a narrow channel with difficult and sometimes impossible entry due to weather and sea conditions. If we can't enter by boat, we'll leave it outside and enter by dinghy. If, on the other hand, we can enter by boat, we'll stay here for the night; otherwise, we'll move to another safe anchorage.
Prickly Pear - Sandy Island - Marigot Bay 15 min approx. 2/2:30'' hours
From one paradise to another in just a few minutes of sailing, now it's time for Sandy Island, another wonderful little island with fine white sand. After a relaxing swim, we begin our return to Saint-Marteen, where we'll arrive in the evening, already hoping for a spot in the marina, to make our last evening ashore easier for those who wish.
