I put one so as not to put zero because it seems it's not possible.
Inexperienced skipper... always nervous and not at all empathetic, sometimes even rude and vindictive. Boat without air conditioning... sleeping was impossible and winch still broken!! Terrible. The other passengers were wonderful, thank goodness!!!

Dear Angela,
I'm surprised and saddened to read this review, especially since these criticisms were not expressed to me during the cruise and I would have preferred to have had the opportunity to discuss them directly with you.
However, I would like to clarify some aspects.
As for my experience, I'm not exactly an inexperienced skipper: I've been sailing for many years, I've completed 14 Atlantic crossings, 3 of them solo, and I've traveled over 80,000 nautical miles: I'd say my sailing experience is an objective fact.
Regarding air conditioning, the boat is equipped with it, but it can be used when we're connected to the power supply in port. During your week, you preferred to spend the nights at anchor, and in those conditions, using the air conditioning is not possible. This fact has been explained to you several times.
Regarding the windlass, the problem had already occurred the previous week, and during the month of August, it was not possible to immediately find a technician available to carry out the repair. I would have been able, under the terms and conditions, to stop the boat for up to 72 hours for the repair, but I preferred to avoid any disruption to your holiday and personally handle the anchor recovery by hand, without any consequences for the guests.
I'm also sorry if you perceived my behavior as vindictive or rude, because that was absolutely not my intention. During the initial briefing, some simple onboard rules were explained, essential primarily for safety and to keep the boat in good condition, such as avoiding getting wet inside to avoid slipping and keeping the common areas tidy. Unfortunately, you didn't always follow these instructions, and I had to reprimand you several times.
In conclusion: I've tried to accommodate your requests all week, and I'm sincerely sorry that, despite this, the experience wasn't positive for you. I'd say that a boating vacation might not be the right choice.
I'm glad you found the other participants to be great people to share your vacation with.
