Exit towards Vulcano (20 miles), the closest to Sicily. We will visit points of interest such as the natural pool called Venus and the Cueva del Caballo.
In the afternoon, excursion to the Fossa de Vulcano crater (400 m). between gray ash, orange tuffs and white fumaroles. We will approach several points of sulfur concentrations. Return to the ship at sunset. Dinner in the village of Vulcano. Night on board
Day 3 / Monday September 30.
Vulcano - Stromboli (25 miles): Stop during the navigation in the uninhabited islets of Lisca Bianca and Bottaro to take a bath and observe the underwater solfataras that are a few meters deep. Sailing to the legendary Stromboli, which has been in permanent activity for 2000 years, for which it was given the nickname of "Lighthouse of the Mediterranean" since antiquity.
Possibilities to visit the volcano:
Accompanied by a volcanologist guide. The ascent lasts around 3 hours of walking. The observation time authorized by civil protection over 800 m is 1 hour. Return to the village by a slope of volcanic ash and then to the ship. Night on board.
A 1,5 hour walk to the Sciara del Fuoco, from where you can observe the eruptive activity of Stromboli from a rocky outcrop 400 meters above sea level.
Day 4 / Tuesday, October 1.
Stromboli - Salina (20 miles): Navigation to Panarea. Stop for a bath near Basiluzzo. The town, with white walls and colorful gardens, is worth seeing. A walk to Cabo Milazzese, an archaeological site from the 14th century BC, will allow you to enjoy the idyllic atmosphere of this small corner. Lunch on board at 1:00 pm and navigation to Salina, visit of the locality of Lingua.
Day 5 / Wednesday, October 2.
Salina - Filicudi (15 miles): Navigation on Salina Island, the greenest of the archipelago. Stop for a dive in the magnificent Bay of Pollara. Lunch on board, at the foot of the walls of Toba or Tufo claro (very porous limestone) and an arc carved by the erosion in the volcanic rock. Navigation from Salina to Filicudi. The mysterious island, far from the well-known paths, and visit of the neck (volcanic rock) of the Canna and of the cave called Bue marino.
Day 6 / Thursday, October 3.
Filicudi - Lipari (20 miles): Sailing along the coast of Lipari to the Canneto area, where you will stop for a swim in front of the old pumice quarries with white walls on a beautiful turquoise sea. Lunch on board and in the afternoon arrival at the port of Lipari. Free visit of the town and dinner at Lipari
Day 7 / Friday, October 4.
Lipari - Milazzo (25 miles): Return to Milazzo and end of the 2nd Stage of the trip.
