The Salt Route Regatta is an emblematic nautical event that combines a passion for sailing with the beauty of the Mediterranean. For more than three decades, sailors from all over the world have participated in this exciting competition. Here are the key aspects of this regatta:

Origin and Tradition: The regatta dates back to 1989, when a group of enthusiastic sailors decided to cross the Mediterranean from Denia (Alicante) to Sant Antoni de Portmany in Ibiza. Since then, the Salt Route has been a symbol of camaraderie, challenge and adventure.

Challenging Route: The regatta course covers approximately 140 nautical miles of open water. Participants sail from the east coast of Spain to the beautiful island of Ibiza. The voyage involves strategy, night sailing and the thrill of facing wind and waves.

Crew Diversity: The Salt Route attracts a wide variety of crew members:

Experienced Sailors: For experienced sailors, it's an opportunity to test their skills in challenging conditions.

Arrival to Ibiza: The arrival to Sant Antoni de Portmany is an exciting moment. Sailboats cross the finish line as salty breezes and pine scents fill the air. The trophy ceremony and the closing party are the perfect culmination to this adventure at sea.

Plan

The XXXVII edition of the Ruta de la Sal will take place from April 17 to 19, 2025. Here is the detailed program:

Day 0 (April 16)
From 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. - Registration of participants in the sports office and security/measurement controls
21:00h – Welcome buffet dinner with Gramona for all crews.

Day 1 (April 17)
Departure from Denia (Alicante): The sailboats will set sail from Denia to Sant Antoni de Portmany in Ibiza.
Formentera, Tagomago and Ibiza Islands to port: Sailors will enjoy stunning views as they sail towards their final destination.

Day 2 (April 18)
Offshore Sailing: Participants will face navigation and strategy challenges as they make their way towards Ibiza.
Friendly competition: The regatta is an opportunity to compete, but also to enjoy camaraderie among sailors.

Day 3 (April 19)
8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. – Reception for sailors in the regatta village
10:00h – End of time limit
12:00h – Press conference with the winners of the regatta in
the Sant Antoni de Portmany Yacht Club
8:00 p.m. – Trophy presentation ceremony in the Passeig de ses Fonts tent.

NEXT – Closing buffet dinner for all crews
at the Sant Antoni de Portmany Nautical Club and party.

Return to Denia on a direct course.

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (spanish)

The price includes:
