The western Mediterranean is a sailing area full of variety. The route takes us through the Tyrrhenian Sea along the Sardinian coast to Sicily. In July the conditions are ideal: temperatures are between 28-32 °C, with a water temperature of around 24-26 °C. The prevailing wind usually blows from the west or north-west at 3-5 Bft., which guarantees a pleasant sailing experience.

Plan

Our adventure begins in Olbia, the lively port city in the north-east of Sardinia. After a relaxed start, we sail along the Costa Smeralda, known for its emerald-green bays and luxurious marinas. A highlight is the Maddalena Archipelago, where we anchor in sheltered bays and enjoy the crystal-clear water.
From there we set course for the Aeolian Islands, a volcanic archipelago with a unique natural setting. Here we can experience spectacular sunsets and visit the hot springs of Vulcano. Finally we reach Palermo, the vibrant capital of Sicily, where a fascinating mix of history, culture and Mediterranean lifestyle awaits us.

Wind & Climate:
The sailing area between Olbia and Palermo offers ideal conditions for an unforgettable trip at the beginning of July. The Tyrrhenian Sea spoils us with warm temperatures, clear skies and consistent winds that make sailing pleasant and relaxing.
Wind: The prevailing wind usually blows from the west or north-west with a force of 3-5 Bft, which makes for perfect sailing conditions.
Air temperature: Average 28–32 °C, with warm nights around 22–24 °C – ideal for enjoying the evenings on deck.
Water temperature: Average 24–26 °C, perfect for swimming, snorkeling and cooling off in the bays.
The stable weather in July guarantees sunny days and very rare short rain showers. The Mediterranean conditions make this season the best time to discover the beauty of Sardinia, the Aeolian Islands and Sicily.

We want to make sailing more sustainable and environmentally friendly. On our yacht we test different products that give you a great sailing experience while having less impact on the environment. At the same time, she is on a journey to explore the world. Her base is in Poros, Greece. But she is mostly on a long journey. Our small team of skippers is looking forward to a real sailing experience with you!

Our yacht, a Hanse, stands for a comfortable and outstanding experience. It gives you a feeling of spaciousness, a calm atmosphere and offers the freedom you need for your activities. Nevertheless, it is fast, sporty and has great sailing performance. It was designed by Volvo Ocean Race Designers and is the fastest yacht in its class.

The large cockpit offers enough space for pleasant get-togethers and long conversations with a breathtaking panoramic view. On the sun deck you can be alone, take the time to read a book or enjoy the nature around you. The skipper's cabin has its own entrance. Even if you are supported by a professional crew, you still have your privacy.

The yacht is a modern Hanse 575. It has 4 double cabins and a cabin for the skipper. Each cabin has its own bathroom with electric toilet. Starlink, multi media, air conditioning, generator, 230 V in all cabins and Nespresso coffee machine. Solar panels, radar, AIS, watermaker, washing machine, bathing platform and a dinghy with an electrically powered outboard motor. Comprehensive safety and navigation equipment as well as many other equipment that you need to be self-sufficient.
