SATURDAY - Portorosa
Our tour begins in Portorosa, where you can board starting at 6:00 PM on Saturday. Once you've settled into your cabin, there'll be a short organizational briefing with the skipper, and then we'll head into town to enjoy the first evening together and get to know each other better!
SUNDAY - Panarea (2 HOURS)
We'll set off on Sunday morning, perhaps after a traditional Sicilian breakfast of granita and brioche. We'll head for the crystal-clear waters of the pumice quarries for our first swim. Here, you'll be amazed by the clear, turquoise water, inviting you for a dip!
We'll continue our voyage, heading for the island of Panarea, the most chic, frivolous, and vacation-loving of the seven, the "Capri" of the Aeolian Islands. We'll have about 10 miles of sailing to cover, which, if the wind is favorable, we'll complete under sail, listening to the sound of the hull ploughing through the water.
We'll anchor for the first time at Cala Zimmari, a perfect bay for snorkeling in its crystal-clear waters.
In the late afternoon we will decide whether to stop here for the night or, at sunset, move on to the front of the village.
At dusk, the islands reveal themselves in all their beauty: the awe-inspiring sight is nature bursting with an extraordinary array of colors and hues. As always, some enjoy the sunset while waiting to dine under the stars, while others simply cannot resist visiting the island, strolling through the whitewashed alleys lined with boutiques, before meeting at Raya, a bar and nightclub with one of the most beautiful terraces on the island.
MONDAY - Stromboli (2 HOURS)
Monday morning will be the turn of Lisca Bianca. This anchorage is a must-see stop in the Aeolian Islands, not only for snorkeling but also for the solfataras.
Another spot of extraordinary beauty among these small islands off Panarea is Basiluzzo, the largest of this tiny archipelago. It's wonderful to lose yourself here amid the vibrant colors of the seabed and the turquoise water.
After swimming in the sulphurous waters of Panarea, we'll set sail for Stromboli or "IDDU," Europe's most active volcano, beloved and feared by the islanders. Its unmistakable conical shape and the cloud of black smoke that almost perpetually billows from its summit make it unmistakable.
Once back on land, it's a pleasure to meet up on the terrace of the Ingrid Bar for an aperitif together.
Dinner will be on board, and if you wish, you can sail around the island to admire the spectacular "Sciara del Fuoco" after sunset, perhaps enjoying an arancini from a typical island deli.
TUESDAY - Salina (3 HOURS)
The largest of the islands, boasting extraordinary beauty and diverse landscapes. The morning and lunch will be spent on the eastern side of the island, where we'll admire the lush green seabed and steep cliffs of Capo Faro. In the afternoon, we'll sail to Santa Marina. After a swim, we'll prepare to visit the town, adorned with caper flowers and typical Aeolian houses. Those who wish can also visit one of the island's many wineries.
You can return to the boat for dinner if you like, or for those with a sweet tooth, it's time to pop over to Lingua where "pane cunzatu" and granita await you at Alfredo's!
WEDNESDAY - Filicudi (2 HOURS)
On Wednesday morning, we'll sail to Filicudi, but first we'll take a dip in Pollara Bay, made famous by the film "The Postman." This bay's beauty is characterized by a rock formation that creates a natural arch and small fishermen's huts carved into the rock. After seeing Pollara, we'll continue sailing to Filicudi, and if we're lucky, we might even spot a dolphin or turtle!
Capo Graziano will welcome us for a swim; snorkeling enthusiasts will have plenty to enjoy here. We'll then continue on to Pecorini a Mare, a cluster of fishermen's houses where in the evening the Saloon awaits us, the legendary venue that welcomes us boaters with its delicious Malvasia wine, accompanied by Sicilian appetizers prepared by the village ladies, and a cheerful chat under the stars.
THURSDAY - Vulcano (3 HOURS)
On Thursday morning, as soon as we wake up, we have breakfast and head towards the west coast of Filicudi for a close-up view of “La Canna” (an eruptive rock formation that rises from the sea to a height of about 74 meters above sea level) and the Montenassari rock.
After a swim in the bluest of blues, we set sail for Vulcano, Ponente Bay, to prepare for a lively evening in town for nightlife lovers or for a lovely evening of conversation and company in the tranquility of the sheltered bay, awaiting one of the most evocative sunsets in the Aeolian Islands...
FRIDAY - Vulcano – Lipari
The day of our return to Lipari...but the cruise isn't over yet! Today we'll head to the south side of Vulcano, home to two beautiful bays: Gelso Bay and Cannitello Beach Bay, both of which also have black sand. In Gelso Bay, you can enjoy lunch at the famous Ristorante da Pina. In Cannitello Beach Bay, a bar is open for happy hour or aperitifs on the beach, accompanied by dance music.
A final sunset swim in the shadow of the Faraglioni of Lipari is a fitting conclusion to this wonderful week spent together.
Disembarkation by 9am on Saturday morning.
