Adventure offered by Stephan

Our adventure begins with boarding at the marina in Corfu – getting to know each other, safety briefing and the first jump into the water from the bathing platform.

This sailing trip is intentionally flexible: instead of a fixed route, we as a crew decide together where the wind takes us. The Ionian Islands are a paradise for precisely this kind of sailing – short distances, countless sheltered bays, and the freedom to spontaneously change our plans. A short sail in the morning, anchoring in a secluded bay in the afternoon, and fresh fish in a waterfront taverna in the evening.

Our cruising area stretches from the tranquil south coast of Corfu, past the Blue Lagoon near Sivota on the mainland, to the idyllic islands of Paxos and Antipaxos. On Paxos, the sheltered harbors of Lakka and Gaios await us – Venetian charm nestled among olive groves. The west coast of Paxos impresses with spectacular sea caves and dramatic cliffs, which we can explore by dinghy.

Antipaxos is the crown jewel – a tiny island accessible only by boat, with beaches that rival the Caribbean. On the Greek mainland, Sivota beckons with its famous Blue Lagoon, and Parga with its colorful harbor promenade. At the end of the week, we'll sail back to Corfu and the Gouvia Marina at a leisurely pace. Which bays and islands we visit, and how long we stay in each, will be decided – just like in real sailing – by the wind, the weather, and the crew working together.

Our yacht travels the world – and you can join us! With us, you're not an anonymous guest on a standard route, but part of a real crew, discovering new horizons together. We're not a typical charter company that sails the same tour every week. Instead, we sail together, experience authentic boat life, and embrace the adventure the sea has in store for us.

Climb aboard a superbly equipped, lovingly maintained boat and enjoy something special: With us, nothing is off the rack. Every trip is unique – sometimes spontaneous, sometimes planned, always full of surprises. Unplanned experiences are just as much a part of it as relaxing days on deck.

Want more than just a sailing trip? We'll take care of the onboard technology together, and you can lend a hand if you like. You can turn your holiday cruise into a real experience on a long-distance cruising yacht and become part of life at sea.

Our sailing trips combine vacation, adventure, mindfulness, and authentic boating life. Become part of our crew and experience a special time on Galini – authentic, communal, and full of adventure.

    HIGHLIGHTS

We decide on our stops in harbors and anchorages together. We are a crew that plans the route according to preferences, wind, and weather.

Corfu South Coast: Quiet fishing villages like Petriti and Boukari, authentic and away from the hustle and bustle.

Sivota & Blue Lagoon: Caribbean feeling on the Greek mainland with spectacular turquoise water.

Paxos: Olive groves, Venetian charm and the most beautiful natural harbors of the Ionian Islands: Lakka and Gaios.

Paxos West Coast: Spectacular sea caves and steep cliffs, accessible only from the water.

Antipaxos: Caribbean beaches with the most famous water in Greece: Voutoumi and Mesovrika, accessible only by boat.

Parga: A colorful port town with a Venetian castle and a lively promenade.

Anchorages & swimming stops: Secluded bays with crystal-clear water, snorkeling, swimming and the boat as a base for unforgettable days of swimming.

    THE TRIP

Discover the emerald-green islands of the Ionian Sea on our relaxed sailing trip around Corfu in mid-July. Turquoise anchorages, secluded beaches accessible only by boat, and the unique light of the Ionian Islands – this trip is pure Mediterranean bliss. Short daily sailing distances leave plenty of time for swimming, snorkeling, and simply enjoying the scenery. From the Caribbean-like waters off Antipaxos to the Blue Lagoon near Sivota and the picturesque harbors of Paxos – here you'll experience the most relaxed side of sailing.

Enjoy long days swimming in crystal-clear water, explore hidden coves and sea caves, indulge in Greek tavernas right on the water, and experience the unique atmosphere of the Ionian Islands amidst olive groves and Venetian architecture. We sail together, learn from each other, and enjoy the freedom of the open water. Ideal for beginners!

Our Hanse 575 is a true bluewater yacht – built for life and travel on the sea. We sail with warm and welcoming people, discovering the world together and experiencing real boat life: sun, wind, saltwater, little adventures, and the feeling of truly discovering something together as a crew. Galini is at home on the sea and usually far from her home port on Poros. You'll become part of life on board. Things won't always go according to plan – sometimes something breaks down or the weather changes our course – but that's precisely what makes it authentic. We're also happy to show you the onboard technology, and you can participate in all activities – navigating, steering, cooking, and even the technical aspects. Not a cruise, but a true community, genuine experiences, and the magic of the sea.

    THE RULE

The Ionian Sea around Corfu is considered one of the most beautiful and relaxed sailing areas in Greece. Unlike the Aegean, there is no strong Meltemi wind here – instead, the reliable Maistro usually blows moderately from the northwest, making sailing pleasant and predictable. The islands and bays are close together, and typical daily legs are only 5 to 25 nautical miles long – leaving plenty of time for swimming, anchoring, and simply enjoying the scenery. The landscape is lush and green, with olive groves, cypress trees, and pines stretching right to the water's edge. Free anchoring in sheltered bays is possible everywhere, and the Greek hospitality in the small harbor towns is legendary. The starting and finishing point is Gouvia Marina on Corfu – only about 15 minutes from Corfu International Airport, which has direct flights from many European cities.

    WIND & CLIMATE

In mid-July, temperatures are very summery (air: 30–35°C, water: 25–27°C). The Maistro – the prevailing northwest wind in the Ionian Sea – usually sets in around midday and blows at a pleasant 2–4 Beaufort in the afternoon, ideal for relaxed sailing. Mornings are often calm – perfect for swimming and a leisurely start to the day. In the evenings, the wind dies down again, providing peaceful nights at anchor under the starry sky. Rain is practically impossible in July – brilliant sunshine and deep blue water are guaranteed.

    Air: 30–35°C / Ø 33°C | Water: 25–27°C / Ø 26°C | Wind: NW 2–4 Bft., moderate breeze

    THE YACHT

Our beautiful Hanse is a very fast, large, and comfortable yacht. She spent the winter in the Caribbean and will cross the Atlantic in April/May.
