From Ponta Delgada we set course for the French Atlantic coast.
Daily life on board is governed by a fixed watch system and continuous night sailing. All crew members are involved in trip planning, navigation, weather observation, sail handling, and other onboard tasks. This trip is aimed at sailors who wish to deepen their knowledge of offshore sailing, accumulate sea miles, or take on the challenge of an extended ocean passage.
In April, we must expect varying weather conditions on the route between the Azores and Brittany. Conditions on the open North Atlantic can be challenging. Therefore, finding a suitable weather window and carefully planning our route are crucial. Wind, waves, and temperatures can change significantly during the voyage. With a bit of luck, we might even encounter dolphins or whales along the way.
Sailing takes place on a 43-foot Beneteau Oceanis. The yacht has three double cabins, one cabin with bunk beds, and two bathrooms. Its sailing characteristics and comprehensive safety equipment make it a good yacht for extended offshore passages.
