All navigators learn on every departure, on each voyage, at each berth, there is no one who arrives “learned”, much less from a theoretical exam. The more experience we have, the more we realize how much we still have to learn.
The only way is to go out to sea in any type of weather, always RESPECTING common sense so as not to put ourselves in unnecessary risks. Undock, hoist sails, drop, and dock. And all the surprises that the sea has in store for us at every outing.
