Private sailing course in Valencia

Learn to sail a sailboat on your own, feeling safe and prepared to do all the maneuvers.

It is very common that, after obtaining a nautical qualification, one does not feel comfortable enough to navigate with confidence.

If this is your situation, this 4-hour course at Marina Port Valencia is for you!

This is a practical outing in its entirety. We will practice the maneuvers you need, either in port (docking and undocking) or sailing maneuvers (tacking, gybing, understanding how sails work, etc.).

The goal is that you can do everything guided by a professional Pattern that will tell you how to proceed. And repeat it as many times as you need until you feel confident.

Plan

For 4 hours on board a Yatlant 24, you will be able to practice all the maneuvers you need with a private sailing instructor, just for you.

This course does not have a specific program. As it is a private course, it will be 100% adapted to your level and needs.

The idea is that, when you finish the class, you will feel more capable of renting a sailboat on your own or of taking your own boat (or one belonging to someone you know).

The schedule can be adapted to the student's interest, always subject to the instructor's availability.

Other information

This course is taught in spanish. You must have a sufficient level of this language to be able to follow the course.

The course lasts 4 hours over one day. It is a private course for one person only, but if you wish to bring a companion, you can do so.

Boat details

24-foot sailboat, fully equipped and with all the material to teach classes on board.
It has a through mast, rear spreaders, a beam of 2.70 m, a lead centerboard weighing 650 kg and a draft of 1.45 m. Design category C. Fully watertight sailboat, it has no through hulls or stern tube.
We carry on board all the safety and navigation equipment: plotter, GPS, compass, binoculars, log, depth sounder, alidade, fixed VHF with DSC, portable VHF, AIS, hydrostatic vests, lifelines, complete zone 4 pyrotechnics, etc.
The boat has a huge cockpit that can accommodate 6 crew members, with both an indoor and outdoor chart table.
