The Navigation License is the first nautical qualification to access the Sea. It consists of 4 hours of practice and 2 hours of theory, which are taught on board our boats approved as Nautical School.
Sailing practices are designed to cover essential aspects and ensure that aspiring skippers understand and can apply knowledge critical to safe navigation. They are divided into the following fundamental topics:
- Safety and Pre-navigation Preparations: Familiarization with safety equipment, review of critical aspects of the vessel, and verification of conditions before setting sail.
- Engine Operation: Identification and management of the propulsion system components, starting procedures and verification of correct engine operation.
- Rope making: Basic techniques for handling ropes and making essential knots.
- Nautical Maneuvers: Execution of maneuvers in port, including docking and undocking, always maintaining a safe speed.
- Anchoring and Surveillance: Anchoring techniques, position and route control, as well as special considerations to avoid interference with swimmers and divers.
- Safety Procedures: Safety maneuver practices to prevent and respond to emergency situations.
