Navigation license in Motril

6-hour course to obtain a NAVIGATION LICENSE and be able to navigate in boats up to 6 meters in length and at a distance of 2 nautical miles from a base port. Daytime navigation.

There is no exam, in just 6 hours of course you already obtain the title.

The Navigation License will also enable you to govern Nautical Motorcycles.
1. To obtain the navigation license, the interested party must be 18 years of age at the time they take the tests to obtain them.

2. Without prejudice to the provisions of the previous section, minors who have turned 16 years of age at the time of the tests may obtain the navigation license and the skipper title for basic navigation, provided that they prove, through their presentation in writing, the consent of their parents or guardians and exceed the theoretical and practical requirements demanded in this royal decree.

Plan

The course is structured in 6 hours:
2 hours of theory in the classroom
4 hours of Maneuver and Safety practices on the boat.

There is no EXAM!

1. Two hours of theory will be taught during which an introduction to the practical contents included in Annex III will be made. Likewise, knowledge will be imparted on limitations to navigation on unmarked and marked beaches and their access channels. Regulations regarding maritime traffic and inland navigation in ports. Lateral marks of region A. Way of steering the boat to avoid rolling and pitching and the importance of not crossing into the sea. Rules 4 to 8, 11 to 19 and 37 (including Annex IV) of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions.

2. In addition, basic notions will be taught for the use of a portable VHF radio station, limited to knowledge of channel 16, its use in an emergency and basic routine communications, as well as how to contact Maritime Rescue (channel 16). and telephone numbers 112 and 900 202 202).
