Stage: from Tenerife to Lanzarote

In autumn 2026, we'll be sailing from the Baltic Sea to the Canary Islands in several stages. Our sailing trips during this time will be characterized by long stretches, sailing on a watch system, and the unforgettable daily life on board at sea. We'll be sailing a fine and fully equipped sailing yacht through the Kiel Canal, up the Elbe River to Hamburg, and from there across the North Sea to Rotterdam.
As a highlight, we'll sail up the Thames to Tower Bridge in London, before stopping at St Katharine Docks. From there, we'll sail through the English Channel, along the coast of Brittany in France to Brest. From here, there's a very long leg to Madeira, where our winter sailing trip will take place in perfect spring weather.

We will alternate between visiting the Madeira archipelago and the Canary Islands, and we look forward to welcoming you on board.

  • Plan
Start: February 5, 2027, San Miguel (Tenerife) on board 5:00 p.m
End: February 12, 2027, Lanzarote. Disembarkation at 10:00 AM.

When it's winter in the north, we sail in warm latitudes.

The route takes us along the Canary Islands or up to Madeira. We enjoy the days and nights on the Atlantic Ocean with pleasant temperatures, plenty of water, and a feeling of freedom. The sailing yacht is perfectly equipped and handles beautifully over the Atlantic waves; even beginners will find it a fantastic experience, and experienced sailors will certainly learn a thing or two.

My sailing and sports boat school is in the middle of Berlin. Here you will learn to sail, drive a motorboat and radio, as well as prepare for a trip on the high seas.
I have been passionately running the sailing school with my team since 2006.

Boat details

The Sun Odyssey 389 is a modern sailing yacht from Jeanneau with a length of 11.75 m and a beam of 3.76 m. It combines good sailing characteristics with sophisticated comfort below deck and is suitable for both sporty cruising and holiday trips.

The layout includes three double cabins and a bathroom with shower and toilet. The saloon is bright and open, with a U-shaped seating area, navigation table, and a functional galley with a cooler, gas stove, and sink.

The cockpit is spacious and, with two steering wheels, offers unobstructed access to the folding bathing platform at the stern. The rig is easy to operate—with a fully battened mainsail and furling genoa—and is easy to handle for small crews.

A great sailing and water sports school. I obtained my SBF-See, SBF-Binnen/Segel and UBI/SRC here. Friendly, patient trainers who use their experience and skills to get you to the required exam level. Despite the training, there is still plenty of fun and they take the time to respond to special requests/concerns. I would love to come back here to broaden my maritime horizons.

The theory compact course (in my case SBF Inland) is really very good and prepares you ideally for the exam and beyond.
I also really liked the friendly trainers during the practical training sessions. This meant I was able to pass both exams straight away.

Very good preparation for the exam and future sailing experiences. You can see that all the trainers are very passionate about what they do.
There are always reports of experiences and additional theoretical background on all exam-relevant topics, so that you feel very well prepared the first time you are alone on the boat.

I just did my SBF inland sailing/motor here.
Great people, pleasant atmosphere. The teachers are easy-going, but still competent and can show you what is important when sailing.
If you don't feel completely confident with certain maneuvers, just ask. There is no rigid curriculum that has to be followed. You can decide for yourself where you need more practice.
As you gain experience, you will spend some time on board with just other students. This helps you to feel responsible for the boat and the maneuvers and to coordinate with the other students. But don't worry, a boat with a teacher is always nearby if something goes wrong or you have any questions.
