Do you already have experience sailing and want to apply your knowledge to improve the performance of your ocean-going sailboat?

We return to the Basque Coast to achieve this and to thrill with the passing of the sailboat on which we will sail.

The Pogo 36 is a boat that reaches speeds of an ocean racing sailboat (12-16 knots) but has all the comforts of a cruising sailboat. We will learn to handle and trim the full batten mainsail, genoa, Code 0 and asymmetric spinnaker and we will see in depth the advanced maneuvers and trim of the sailboat at high speeds.

Without a doubt, a spectacular opportunity to feel the speed in your hands and thrill with a racing sailboat discovering one of the most beautiful coasts in Spain.

    · Thursday, 7:00 p.m. (Optional): Boarding for an overnight stay on board.



    · Friday 9:00 a.m.: Boarding and stowage to go sailing around 11:00 a.m.



    · Friday-Saturday-Sunday: Performance Sailing and high speed workshop in Pogo 36 with the following contents:



    - Advanced trimming.

    - Management of the sailboat at high speeds.

    - Navigation in bad weather.

    - Route planning.

    - Headsail domain.

    - Gennaker.

    - Asymmetric Spi.



    · Sunday, 15:00 - Disembarkation.



    Nights: We will sleep on the sailboat and we will surely have to dock at the port at night (additional costs not included).

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (english and spanish)

The base of Pogo 36 is located in the port of Hondarribia (Gipuzkoa).



San Sebastián Airport and Irún Train Station are less than 15 minutes from the port.



We will sail around the Basque coast from Hondarribia/Irún to San Juan de Luz in the east and to Cabo Machichaco/San Juan de Gaztelugatxe in the west.

Depending on the weather and route planning, we can visit magnificent places such as Lekeitio, Hondarroa, Mutriku, Zumaia, Getaria, Orio, San Sebastián, and on the French coast: San Juan de Luz and Biarritz.

    Are there no more stars? 5 seem few!! The workshop has been a real sailing workshop, we have been practicing things all day, except for the time off, but we haven't had time to get bored (if you are going to do the workshop, don't take a book to read because you're not going to touch it)

    A very well organized and carried out workshop. I learned a lot during this week and discovered a very beautiful and interesting navigation area. Paco and Eduardo are not only excellent skippers and instructors, they are also great people to spend a week on a boat with.
