Adventure in the Atlantic: from Baiona (Galicia, NW Spain) to Brest (France), around the four great and mythical lighthouses of Western Europe.

Can you imagine sailing through the waters of the Atlantic, crossing one of the most emblematic and challenging paths of European sailing? This journey will take you from the picturesque town of Baiona, in Galicia, to the magnificent port city of Brest, in France, on a route full of history, beauty and ocean challenges.

A legendary route with history and beauty. During this adventure, you'll have the opportunity to fold four of Western Europe's most famous and iconic lighthouses:

• Finisterre: known as the “end of the world” in ancient times, a place of great historical significance and natural beauty.

• Fastnet: the Irish lighthouse that marks the entrance to Cork Bay, a symbol of Atlantic navigation and the setting for many sailor stories.

• Bishop Rock: the lighthouse on the world's smallest rock, in the Isles of Scilly, an icon of maritime engineering and endurance at sea.

• Ouessant: the lighthouse on the island of the same name, in Brittany, that watches over the dangerous waters of the English Channel and the Atlantic.

Folding these lighthouses will not only be a technical and navigational achievement, but also a tribute to maritime history and to the courage of the sailors who have braved these waters over the centuries.

A journey full of challenges and learning. This tour will allow you to live a unique experience at sea, facing Atlantic conditions, managing tides, currents and weather changes. The route will offer you moments of calm and others of intensity, ideal for putting your nautical skills and endurance to the test.

You will be accompanied by an experienced crew and instructors specialized in ocean navigation, who will guide you at every step, ensuring a safe and enriching journey. You'll learn about route planning, weather interpretation, guard management and offshore navigation techniques.

After folding the four large lighthouses, you will arrive in Brest, a city with a long maritime tradition, full of history, culture and beauty. Here you can explore its naval heritage, enjoy its cuisine and share the satisfaction of having completed one of the most mythical routes in the European Atlantic.

Why embark on this adventure?

• You will live an authentic sailing experience, facing one of the most emblematic challenges in the Atlantic.

• You will improve your nautical skills in real conditions and you will learn from experts in ocean navigation.

• You'll discover breathtaking landscapes and Europe's maritime history in each of the lighthouses.

• You'll share unforgettable moments with a passionate crew eager for adventure.

Are you ready to bend the great lighthouses of Western Europe and experience a journey that you will remember for a lifetime? Dare to be part of this exciting expedition!

Our boat is a 70 foot steel Ketch with 5 cabins. It was designed by the most prestigious naval architect in the world, German Frers, a commission from his brother to design a solid, comfortable and reliable ship to sail around the world. The vessel has crossed the Atlantic more than 40 times, standing out for the safety it offers to all its crew and its ease of handling, allowing the crew to participate 100% in the management of the ship.

On board, you will have the instruction of experienced skippers and also instructors certified by the RYA, carrying out real practices of ship management and care, crew safety, route planning and of course life on board. We'll move from theory to practice, learning every mile sailed!

Our goal as trainers is for you to become ocean navigators, or crew members or skippers but not mere passengers.

We will travel many miles in tidal waters, carrying out daily meteorological analyses using satellite communications, GRIB files and direct observation. This experience is necessary for those who want to accumulate hours in ocean sailing, either for RYA courses or certifications or to obtain the Spanish PPER.

Official Spanish qualifications that can be obtained on board in an oceanic environment:

- Yacht Skipper and Captain Practices*

- Short-range radio operator practices*

- PER* Degree Extension Practices

School approval such as ENAL for all Spanish recreational nautical qualifications.

Boarding: from 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure in Baiona.

Disembarkation: From 15:00 on the last day in Brest. (We still recommend boarding the day before departure).

    Type of navigation: Ocean formation.

The first full day we will take a safety course with on-board practices in the use of material, safety protocols, MOB, hazards and precautions on board, life on board.

The second day we set sail for our destination and took it easy on this day to integrate into the ocean routine and get acclimated to the ship.

From the third day onwards, we began the training mentioned in the previous section to our destination. While we are ocean sailing, our energy reserve is low. Therefore, learning will take place in short blocks and in a relaxed environment.

Every day, independently, meteorological analysis will be carried out as a team, a review of critical points of the ship, trimming and rotating management of the ship.

Fantastic! In general, an instructor is expected to have knowledge and to be able to transmit it. With him, in addition to all this, it is worth appreciating the passion with which he does it and his constant emphasis on Safety.
