We will carry out the regulatory practices to obtain the Skipper or Yacht Captain with an RO 400 from our School approved by the Valencian Community Council, with a base port in Marina Miramar de Santa Pola.
Current regulations establish that in order to govern a boat you must carry out navigation practices and provide a certificate from an approved school of having carried out the navigation practices stipulated by law.
These practices are mandatory to be able to govern a boat, the current legislation establishes that they must have a duration of 48 hours. They will be carried out through the bay of Santa Pola, Isla de Tabarca, Isla Grosa, Isla de Benidorm, Altea, Moraira and depending on the time it could be crossed to Ibiza. The official program published by the General Directorate of the Merchant Marine is followed.
The different compulsory points will be made for the practices of this degree.
1.-NIGHT NAVIGATION. Recognition of lights, beacons and beacons. Identification of lights from other vessels. Approach directions depending on orientation. Landfall
2.-NAVIGATION WITH RADAR

4.-ORGANIZATION OF THE DEFEAT
Handling of charts, directions, lighthouse books, tidal yearbooks and gazetteer of maritime radio stations. Trace of a defeat Calculation of fuel, water and food. Checklists.
5.-COASTAL AND ESTIMATE NAVIGATION
Study of the nautical chart. Hazard identification. Situation due to delays and lines. Directions. Estimated navigation
6.-MAN OVERBOARD MANEUVER
Ways to avoid man overboard. The first thing when a man falls into the water. The maneuver. Search and collection.
7.-NAVIGATION WITH GPS
Initialization to electronic navigation. Situation. Enter a track and a landfall point. Errors and corrections.
8.-NAVIGATION WITHOUT VISIBILITY WITH RADAR AND GPS
Precautions Navigation in fog.
9.-NAVIGATION IN BAD WEATHER
Additional precautions. Monitoring the meteorology. Preparation of the maneuver and quartermaster. Choice of the safest defeat.
