Catamaran adventure in San Blas, Guna Yala (Panama)

Adventure through the Caribbean archipelago of San Blas, made up of 365 islands, many of them deserted. It is an independent region that belongs to the Guna Yala ethnic group, in the rich lands of Panama.

Your vacation will be on board our Lagoon 42 or Lagoon 43 catamarans, whichever you decide to book. Both offer all the necessary amenities for an adventure through deserted islands, with crystal clear waters, a great place to practice snorkeling and live Stand Up Paddle and Kayak experiences.

We will sail through this paradisiacal natural park with crystal clear waters, coral reefs and white sand beaches with their beautiful coconut trees. With magical places such as Cayo Holandes, Coco Bandero Cay, Chichime Key, Cambodia, Banedup Islands and Pelican Dog and many more, this is an amazing place for snorkeling, paddle surfing and kayaking adventures.

Food and drinks are included on board. Our crew will cook delicious dishes of all kinds of varieties, where we will taste the region's fresh seafood: lobsters, crabs, octopus, snappers... All the fresh fish will be offered to us by the Kune, they are great fishermen and they spend every day with fresh fish, we will also enjoy delicious paellas that we will cook on board, or we can go down to the islands and taste this delicacy in the shade of the coconut trees.

The nights will offer us a clear starry sky where you can see stars, constellations and planets. The vision of the night sky is a total spectacle, we will feel as if we can catch the stars with our hands.

Away from all the hustle and bustle, you can rest in a hammock under the shade of a coconut tree, bask in the sun on the deck of our catamaran, enjoy a deserted island, watch the sunset, fall in love with the starry nights or simply toast life.

365 paradise islands for you! What we describe below is just a suggested reference, as we are very flexible and will work out our route at check-in when you board the catamaran, taking into account what you wish to do.

The suggested route is for a one-week stay, a perfect time to get to know San Blas without rushing and enjoy the best of this paradise. We don't have a minimum stay, but the longer you stay, the more you'll enjoy it.

Day 1 – Cayo Chichime:
Chichime is a beautiful island and one of the largest, but walking around it takes no more than 20 minutes through amazing landscapes, crystal-clear waters with the most diverse shades of blue. There is also Chichime Chica, which is full of starfish all along the shore.

Day 2 – Cambodia:
Cambombia is one of the islands where there are the most starfish. A quiet beach with white sand and full of palm trees. There is also a place to snorkel on the island. You can walk all around the island and also meet the Gunas who live there.
Cambombia is one of the quietest islands. The anchorage looks like a large swimming pool, very protected, excellent for activities such as Stand Up Paddle and Kayak.

Day 3 – Cayo Coco Bandero:
These are three of the most beautiful islands in the archipelago. Crystal-clear waters, paradisiacal islands and an incredible Kuna family; that's Coco Bandero.

Day 4 – Morrodup Dutch Cays:
Morodup or Turtle Island is a great place to snorkel and for the bravest, it is also the place where you can swim with sharks, Nurse Shark or Caribbean Reef Shark (both harmless, they do not attack).
After enjoying the island, there is always time for a delicious grilled fish on the coconut bonfire on the island.

Day 5 – Sipadup Dutch Cays:
Sipadup is located in the lower part of Dutch, an area that only a few boats can access. Most of the time we have the whole island to ourselves.

Day 6 – West Holland Keys:
Waisaladup is one of the best snorkeling spots in San Blas. It has an incredible coral garden protected by the island. Easy even for those who are not expert snorkelers.

Day 7 – Banedup, Pelican Dog:
These three islands are where their own marine life has developed and are an incredible place for snorkeling.

Other information

All crew members are welcome, even if they do not know the language spoken on board (spanish)

The ships also have a Starlink Satellite antenna, which allows you to be connected at all times via WhatsApp, email, social networks, Netflix, etc. Included in the price for all crew members who wish to use it.

The trip will take place from Nargana/Corazón de Jesús in San Blas, Panama. We can organize the transfer from Panama City or the international airport of Tocume to San Blas and, for the return, from San Blas to the airport in Panama or Panama City, with two options:

- By land in a 4x4. It is done from the Carti booth and the approximate price is $75 per person.

- By air in a small plane. It takes place from Corazón de Jesús Island and the fare depends on the type of plane chosen.

In both cases, the rates are set by the agency that organizes these tours.

1. Lagoon 43 (Configuration with Triple Room and Crew “Rabbit”) This version takes full advantage of the new optimized volumes of the Lagoon 43 hull: Triple Room: In the port helmet, the aft cabin is configured with a double bed and an upper folding bunk bed (Pullman), turning it into a real and comfortable triple cabin for three guests. The Expanded Rabbit Hut (Pico de Proa): Instead of being a simple narrow stowage chest, the bow peak of this model has been designed as a true cabin of crew (” ; rabbit hutch”) larger. Direct Connection: The highlight for your fleet is that this rabbit hutch connects directly from the inside to the forward guest cabin. This allows the crew member to access the floating toilets without having to go out to the outer deck through the hatch, dramatically improving their habitability, comfort and privacy.

2. Lagoon 42The Lagoon 42 is the direct predecessor of the 43 and one of the best-selling catamarans in history. Common layout: It is usually configured in a version with 3 cabins (owner occupying the entire starboard hull) or 4 independent double cabins, each with its private bathroom. Onboard style: It has a “U” shaped kitchen and an elevated control unit that, as in the 43, keeps the master visually connected both to the aft bath and to the lounge area.

Flotilla Dynamics. Carrying both ships together is great because: They maintain closely matched cruise speeds, making it easier to sail as a group without anyone being left behind. The Lagoon 43 can act as the “flagship” of the flotilla thanks to its innovative extendable bath table and its fully folding saloon window, achieving a continuous mega-space ideal for dinners and meetings of crews of both ships.
