Adventure offered by Joaquin

Contact
This exciting adventure will be divided into two stages, the Atlantic Stage and the Mediterranean Stage.

First stage: Ponta Delgada (Azores) - Cadiz. Price: 1,650€.

We will start the cetacean cruise from San Miguel Island (Azores) and head to the bay of Algeciras, stopping at Alcaidesa Marina on the Concepción Line.

On this journey we will sail along the coast of the Algarve in Portugal and already in Spanish waters the province of Huelva and Cádiz, we will see Tarifa, Bologna, Zahara de los Atunes, Barbate, Cape Trafalgar, El Palmar, Gibraltar (where we will stop at the gas station to refuel) and stop at Alcaidesa Marina already in the bay of Algeciras.

Second stage Cádiz - Ibiza. Price: 850€.

It is recommended to arrive a few days early, in order to take a 4x4 excursion prior to the trip where you can visit the beaches of Tarifa. Here we can go to Bolonia beach, where you can see the largest dune in Europe, and visit the archaeological site of the Roman city Baelo Claudia, considered the first cannery on the planet since it was established in the heart of the Almadraba; the Romans were already fishing for tuna and making preserves that were transported to the heart of their Empire for commercialization. Then we will visit Atlanterra and Zahara de los Atunes, where we will enjoy a good meal at the Casa Juanito restaurant and visit its beaches.

It will be an adventure where we will have the opportunity to spot cetaceans, seabirds, natural caves, volcanic islands and where we will enjoy deep-sea fishing; with luck, we will eat tuna, emperor or flampugas caught by ourselves (we won't say no to any other species that pokes on our fishing rods).

If you want to take the full trip (Stage 1 and 2), you will have a discount of between 5%-10% to book the entire package to the island of Ibiza, our final destination. Please ask the Sailwiz team for conditions or directly to me through the “Contact the boss” button that appears in the activity.

  • Plan
The day of departure and arrival may vary due to organizational or meteorological issues!

    First day:

At 06:00am we will set sail from Porta Delgada and make a 150nm voyage

    Second day to seventh day:

Ocean sailing, sailing, for the day we will cook, taking turns doing the different ones.

meals, surveillance work from the command post, fishing, stargazing at night, we can listen to music, read a book or share experiences with the crew.

    Seventh day and eighth day:

Once in Spanish waters, the province of Huelva and Cádiz, we will see Tarifa, Bologna, Zahara de los Atunes, Barbate, Cape Trafalgar, El Palmar, Gibraltar (where we will stop at the gas station to refuel) and stop at Alcaidesa Marina, already in the bay of Algeciras.

During the voyage, guards will be carried out for 4 hours a day, consisting of being in control of the ship and observing possible strange elements or changes in the weather, force or direction of the wind. Prior training will be carried out to know how to act in the face of changes, in addition to the need to notify the captain to make appropriate decisions. In general, these guards will be during the day, since the captain will work the night hours since they require greater concentration. It will also be necessary to collaborate in the kitchen and in shifts; each one will have to cook and clean the kitchen alternately.

During the rest hours we can dedicate ourselves to different activities: fishing (equipment is included, you can bring baits such as plastic squid, or buy baits on board), reading, recording videos, board games (chess, backgammon, cards or dice), watching movies or series (we have a Samsung Smart TV, we recommend bringing a hard drive to connect it, you can also connect smartphones, better Android) listening to music (we have Hi-Fi Bluetooth equipment where we can connect our mobile phones), do physical exercise or yoga.

Boat details

Welcome everyone to the announcement of a fabulous Lagoon 43 catamaran.

The Lagoon 43 represents the promise of unforgettable moments at sea because it is a catamaran adaptable to all desires. As a couple, with family or with friends, this catamaran will seduce you. It was designed and created to be versatile, by nature!

The boat is a luxury and at the same time contemporary catamaran that has cabinetry finishes and great comfort in all its cabins.

Lagoon has created a new vision of life on board, presenting a versatile ship with adaptable limits. This advance makes it possible to transform the space by relating the interior to the exterior according to your wishes, between the living room and the bathtub.

The operation is simple and quick to create numerous layouts, allowing for up to 12 people

around the table. A new space for meeting and exchange has been invented, to share with family or friends

The catamaran is equipped for ocean navigation since it crosses the Atlantic from Ibiza to Martinique and... with its final destination the Virgin Islands (BVI).

It is a sustainable ECO catamaran, equipped with solar panels to minimize diesel consumption.

On
board you will find ample comfort, especially provided by catamarans due to their spaciousness and good design.

The boat has large refrigerators, and an ice machine to keep all your drinks very cold. You will also find an outdoor barbecue where you can cook good fish or good meat.

Our goal is for them to enjoy an unforgettable and eco-sustainable vacation, for which we recommend the maximum use of sailing possible.

We will visit the most wonderful places, the most crystalline coves and enjoy magnificent sunrises and sunsets on board.
