Experience the transatlantic adventure: From St. Maarten via Bermuda to the Azores.
With our fast Hanse 575 GALINI, we sail from the Caribbean across the Atlantic to the Azores. This unique route combines tropical flair with an Atlantic sailing adventure – an unforgettable experience for sailors who crave a true sailing adventure!
Our GALINI has already successfully participated in the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) and meets all the safety requirements of this sailing rally. She is therefore equipped and tested to the highest international standards for demanding voyages.
Dive into the ultimate offshore adventure! This transatlantic voyage offers genuine ocean sailing in all its facets – from spectacular sunrises over endless horizons to magical starry skies during night watches. You'll experience authentic life aboard an ocean-going yacht and learn all aspects of bluewater sailing.
As part of our experienced crew, you'll be actively involved in all sailing maneuvers – from setting and furling the sails to navigation and technical aspects. The long passages offer perfect opportunities to refine your sailing skills and gain genuine offshore experience. Every crew member takes on responsibility and becomes an indispensable part of the team.
Night watches under the endless starry sky of the Atlantic become unforgettable moments of peace and self-reflection. Here you will experience the true magic of sailing – when only wind, waves, and yourself exist. At the same time, you will learn night navigation and develop a deep understanding of weather, wind, and currents.
Our Atlantic adventure begins with intensive preparation in St. Maarten. After boarding, we conduct a comprehensive safety briefing, and every crew member learns about all the GALINI's systems – from navigation to emergency equipment. You'll also participate in the planning and take on initial responsibilities while preparing provisions together.
The first leg to Bermuda is your introduction to real offshore sailing. Here you'll learn the watch system, take responsibility for steering and navigation, and experience your first magical night watches under the Caribbean starry sky. Every day brings new challenges and learning opportunities – from changing sails in shifting winds to weather observation.
In Bermuda, we'll use the time for reflection and sharing experiences. You'll help with provisioning, learn about the local customs, and mentally prepare for the long Atlantic crossing. The crew will bond and develop the team spirit that's essential for the challenge ahead.
The final leg to the Azores is the highlight of the voyage. Here you'll prove yourself as a fully-fledged crew member, independently taking watches, executing complex sailing maneuvers, and navigating. The long nights under the starry sky of the open Atlantic will be transformative experiences, allowing you to discover the true essence of sailing.
Every day brings new lessons: weather observation and forecasting, sail trimming for optimal performance, handling strong winds and calms, as well as sailing with a gennaker and parasailor. You won't just learn to sail – you'll become a true bluewater sailor.
