We will start the journey from Martinique, French West Indies, specifically in the bay of Le Marin. It will cross the Caribbean Sea to the San Blas archipelago, in the rich lands of Panama. All aboard our Lagoon 43 and 42 catamarans, which offer all the amenities for a trip of these characteristics.
We will sail through the Caribbean in favor of the trade winds heading west and we will cross the waters of the islands of Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (an archipelago of wonderful crystal clear waters), which is a traditional place of passage for sailors on Caribbean voyages through the Antilles. From there, if the weather is favorable, we will head to the southwesterly crossing of the Caribbean Sea, to pause and enjoy a good swim in the Los Roques archipelago, a natural park with crystal clear waters, coral reefs and white sand beaches with magical corners such as Cayo Piratas, an amazing place for snorkeling and scuba diving.
We will continue to the Dutch island of Bonaire, Curaçao and Aruba, where we will make a technical stop for refueling and supplies. Curaçao has a warm and stable climate all year round, with temperatures between 28 and 32°C. The island is located outside the hurricane zone and receives very little rain. The trade winds provide a constant and refreshing breeze. There is no winter or cold season. Weather conditions remain stable throughout the year, making Curaçao an ideal destination for beach activities, diving and outdoor activities in any month.
We will visit the Colombian Caribbean and stop in Santa Marta, Barranquilla or Cartagena de Indias. Cartagena is a port city on the Caribbean coast of Colombia. Next to the sea, is the walled Old Town, which was founded in the 16th century, with squares, cobblestone streets and colorful colonial buildings. With a tropical climate, the city is also a popular destination for its beaches. Barú Island, with white sand beaches and palm trees, and the Rosario Islands, famous for their coral reefs, can be reached by boat. To finish our adventure, we will reach the San Blas archipelago in Panama, where we will end our journey through the Caribbean.
This will be our fourth year of returning to the magical islands of the San Blas archipelago. We'll enjoy magnificent fishing, whale watching, and blowing winds on this epic adventure.
Before this journey, we will arrive in Martinique after crossing the Atlantic from the Canary Islands. All the info and reservations about the Atlantic crossing at:
