Take a 120-mile crossing in Valencia, the official practices to expand the attributions of your title of Recreational Boat Skipper (PER), in a large oceanic boat and with a very attractive route, with a night crossing and the students guards at all times.

With the completion of this practice, you will be able to steer boats up to 24 meters in length and make the nautical journey between the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands.

The official practices in our sailboat are not for a walk, nor a procedure, they are serious, entertaining and instructive, where the program set to obtain the official certification is taught and in addition, many skills are acquired as a competent Skipper.

The practices take place on a 120-mile high-altitude crossing, sailing from Valencia to Cabo de la Nao and back to Valencia, in a large 16-meter ocean boat, well equipped and welcoming.
Due to weather conditions, this route may be varied.

The practices are taught by Carlos, a Professional Recreational Boat Skipper, with many miles sailed, a good trainer and passionate about his work.

This sailboat is not just any boat, it has a long and deserved reputation for its long ocean crossings and the experience and good work of Toni and Carlos, its 2 skippers.

We have trained more than 3,500 employers.

Plan
Boarding at 6:00 p.m. at the Real Club Náutico de Valencia. Disembark the next day at the same time and in the same place.
On certain dates, this schedule can be modified and be from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. the next day.

We will develop the official program of the PER habilitation practices to navigate to the Balearic Islands in a 24-hour and 120-mile crossing, in the direction of Cabo de la Nao.
We will set sail from Valencia towards Cullera. We will go up the Júcar river, to the Cullera Nautical Club. We will continue towards Cabo de San Antonio. We will anchor between Cabo de San Antonio and Cabo de la Nao. We will return back to Valencia.
Due to weather conditions, this route may be varied.
Each student on board will assume the role of the skipper of the ship, and must think and try to solve all the problems and preparations that are presented to a Skipper on a voyage, with the supervision and instructions of the Instructor.
He will review the critical points of the boat and the checklist before setting sail. Calculation of fuel, water and food. He will prepare the route, checking very well on the courses and on the nautical charts the navigation area, the dangers, the anchorages and the shelters. We will study the weather predictions to choose the best route and the recommended anchorages.
We will see the safety equipment, the use of self-inflating vests, harnesses and lifelines, and we will do an abandonment drill with the life raft.
We will make landfall during the day and at night, identifying the dangers and choosing the best anchorage.

The boat
This sailboat was designed in the Iñigo Echenique naval engineering cabinet. It is a comfortable and functional sailboat, built to sail in any sea and for its passengers to enjoy great comfort and safety in all its spaces.

FEATURES

Length: 16.1 meters.
Beam: 4.6 meters.
Capacity: 9/11 passengers (plus a skipper).
Displacement: 19 tons.
Engines: 2 turbo diesel engines of 110 HP each.
Bow thruster.
Electricity on board: 12 and 220 volts. We carry Solar Plates.
Vedic surface: 175 m (Major, Genoa and Trinqueta)
Water: 2,400 liters.
Diesel: 1,400 liters. As we are concerned about safety, the hull of our sailboat is made of steel, the material preferred by oceanic navigators for its maximum strength and safety.

When the most common in the entire fleet of rental boats is to carry an engine, we carry 2 engines, to increase safety when we sail. When the boat was designed, we took it very seriously that the boat was very safe and having 2 propellers gave it great safety. When there is no wind the boat only sails with one engine but has the other one in case it needs more power and having 2 engines prevents the boat from being stopped due to a breakdown.

It is also common in rental boats that have very low capacity water and diesel fuel tanks. In the sailboat we seek maximum comfort for the crew, so our autonomy of water and diesel is more than double that of the sailboats of this length.
