The RYA Day Skipper Sailing Course is designed for people who want to learn how to handle a sailing yacht in coastal waters safely and with confidence. This course will provide you with the skills necessary to plan and execute short passages, both day and night, with minimal supervision.

What will you learn in the course?

Plan routes and navigate accurately using nautical charts, compass and GPS.
Interpret weather conditions and make navigation adjustments as necessary.
Perform essential maneuvers such as tacking, gybing, docking in ports and anchoring in bays.
Lead a crew and make decisions in everyday situations on board.

Who is the Day Skipper Course for?

This course is perfect for those who already have some experience sailing as a crew and wish to take command of a small yacht. It is ideal for those who wish to charter a boat in the future or improve their sailing and boat leadership skills.

Prerequisites:

Participants are recommended to have basic sailing knowledge and a Competent Crew qualification or equivalent. In addition, it is useful to have completed the RYA Day Skipper theory course.

Certification and Advantages:

At the end of the course, you will obtain the internationally recognised RYA Day Skipper certification. This certification is your passport to rent boats and sail independently in different parts of the world.

Other information
This course is taught in english. You must have a sufficient level of this language to be able to follow the course.

Why are we more expensive than other Centers?

We firmly believe in Quality Training and to achieve this, the first thing is to have the necessary time to teach it. In 5 days with a group of 5 students, as allowed by the RYA, there is really not enough time to go in depth with each student in all the skills to be learned, THEREFORE OUR COURSES ARE TAUGHT IN GROUPS OF MAXIMUM 3 STUDENTS.

You will pay a little more but you will receive many more hours of training in the same 5 days.
